I might have missed it, but I haven't seen any discussion of port FORWARDING... through the router. All I saw mentioned was the firewall.

Her daughter's system just crashed, so hopefully we can figure her system, or my server, out. |

and "both" of you are using the same client. You can connect, and she can't. So problem is not "server-side", it's on her end. Has she tried connecting to any of the public servers ? Using: Host=login.eqemulator.net:5998 ? |

I'll send her an email with a replacement txt file and see if she can't get in to another server. |
UPDATE:
Okay, so I built a new system and installed Windows 10 on it to try and replicate her problem. We still have not been able to get her to connect, to anything. In Linux, using Wine/Lutris/PlayonLinux, I can connect using either Titanium, SoD or Underfoot; however, on Windows 10, I cannot connect, with anything. I opened up my Firewall settings and added 5998,5999 to both Inbound and Outbound rules; I've shut off my Windows 10 Defender Firewall altogether and nothing seems to work. I know next to nothing about Windows 10. Has anybody run into this? I think this is my friend's problem, too. |
