Here are the requirements for eqemu to talk to mysql:
1. mysql is running (usually this is a service running in the background) 2. you created a username and login with winmysqladmin 3. you created a database and sourced the db.sql file into it 4. you put the username, password, ip address (127.0.0.1) and database name in db.ini That should do it. use world.exe flag eqemu 200 as a mysql conection test. Something that comes to mind about the mysql install. If you installed to somewhere BESIDES the default c:/mysql there is some configuring you need to do. Read the Mysql documents/readme/web page. Or just reinstall to the default directory. |
i installed it there

What did it say when you ran the following from a dos prompt?
world flag eqemu 200 or world adduser eqemu eqemu 200 copy and paste the results here. It wouldn't hurt to copy and paste your db.ini, and your current loginserver.ini you can put xxxxx to replace your passwords/usernames |
login server read.
useing database 'eq' at localhost account being gm flagged:eqemu, level: 200 account flagged: username='eqemu', status 200 |
aww cmon no more suggestions?:(

Ok, looks like you have mysql running and the emu can connect to the DB. Start your server again, and cut and paste the results again.
Also just to minimize any variations, try adding this to the boot5zones file you use. Code:
start minilogin |
