Big difference between having pride in what you've created compared to flexing the ePenis Wiz. I don't see any flexing here by Jarin. In fact he doesn't really even get too cocky until others start in on him.

Either way, players have the ability to choose whatever server they play on. If one server starts doing extrememly well maybe some of the other server ops/admins should attempt to find out why they're losing players rather than attempt to down on someone because their server seems to attract people. Or the ops/admins can act like disgruntled 10 yr olds which does absolutely nothing for their server or their overall 'rep'.

The guy takes pride in his server, big deal. It is a good server. Ive played on it. Its fun, and its is stable, more stablility than I ever got on WR. Plus I can actually log onto his server. (and yes I have used the WR patcher, and yes I used to play there, and yes you nerf beastlords too much. and yes, I kept all the files up to date.)

meh, I never really got mad about the nerfing. Its more of the 100+ kills you needed to get if you died. Id solo things in The Deep on WR with exp debt.. and id get about .75 % back, ya.. thats way worse than EQlive.

Personally I see it as a perception issue Wiz. What's boasting to one person is pride to another. /shrug

Uh, no. There's something called definite claims. "We are", "I am", etc etc. When these claims are unfounded (as these are, since they provide no logic backing, no comparisions, no nothing) it is basically just empty boasting.

If he had said something like, "We have one motha of a connection" or "Our content is amazingly diverse" it would have been just pride over the server. When you change that into, "Our connection is the best ever" or "Our content blows yours out the water" it turns into a claim. Which turns into boasting.

Boasting usually comes out of pride, if i'm not mistaken... There's not many reasons for 'boasting' about something when you're not proud of it...


Also, I don't see many people here complaining about Draclian Signus' stability... but I do see people here complaining about the stability of other servers. Isn't that, in itself, a small amount of proof that Draclian Signus may very well be one of the most stable servers?

Dude, seriously. Those claims were maybe not utterly unfounded, but still quite ignorant. I would bet my ass Jarin didn't exactly do any research on server stability or server connections before proclaiming he has the best one.

Also, if you want to be a prick about it. Winter's Roar is becoming more and more like Like EQlive and Wiz is just like Sony, turning a fun game into a long boring repetitive one.

Not really. That'd not be up to me, because it doesn't include me, whereas, "I have a better connection than everyone" does. But what you did was state a blatant lie, or alternatively a belief. Not an opinion. Opinions are backed up by facts. Tell me what kind of a connection I have. Or GW has. Or RA. Or you a GM too server. Can't? Thought so. So you have no clue on which connection is the best. I'm not gonna tolerate bullshit because you believe freedom of speech applies to private message boards.

It's not just "your opinion". It's not just "don't like it, don't read it". If I go to a public basketball court and tell every guy there, "I own your ass at basketball", do you really expect them to not either:

A) Roll their eyes and laugh at me.

OR

B) Challenge me to put my money where my mouth is.
