I have to agree with excalaber2, it is free, and we should not complain, but still EQemu withdrawl is hard to deal with. Hope they get it fixed soon, must play

Yeah...I've been having the same problem. Can't log on to the EQEmu server even though the website says the server is up. I checked my eqhost.txt file just to be sure and come to find out there were two extra blank lines at the end of the file. I deleted them and as soon as I did I was able to log back on. Don't know if this is the same case for all of you but regardless...before you go whining to the devs (which i'm sure extremely motivates them to work harder) double and even triple check things on your end just to be sure. I'm not trying to flame anyone in particular. I just see a lot of crying and boo hooing and not enough complimenting in these forums. The devs do an awesome job with this and I think telling them so would go a lot further towards motivating them to get the job done that we crybabies can't do ourselves.

Their servers must run on a meter similar to that, which means the devs aren't getting enough so the servers went down. *nod* Back up now, yay |

I fixed it!
I had problem, I started the world.exe then started boot5zones.bat Claims its connected, I am reformating my laptops hard drive so I will try it later... I use Comcast, sure is fast, unlimited bandwidth, great upload speeds, even better download speeds, I live very close to the main office, if your having lag issues switch to Comcast is the suggestion, I had cable modem probs once, they were here in 24 hours hooking me up with new cable modems, and they rewired the cable TV! Anyway, I just started world.exe first, then those ones after. And no, I am not a rep for comcast or anything, I am just so pleased with all of the support I have gotton. |
