Custom servers much more fun than non-legit. It's fun to #summon stuff for an hour or two once a week and go solo a mob that would take 60 people on live, but gets old. I've been playing scorpious2k and it's pretty fun, be very fun if I didn't crash on every zone :)

i have those patches on a CD that my friend gave me, do i just drop them in my EQ folder or what...

yes whatever is on the CD you have to put in your EQ folder

well there should be more servers for the casual eqemu player, i dont feel like re-earning stuff on emu =P

im having trouble getting into normal EQ, it says "this application has failed to start because d3d9.dll was not found. re-installing the application may fix this problem." i tried re-installing EQ but it still has the same problem. what do i do now?

Did you patch EQ to current state?

Do a google for d3d9.dll and look for the link under the domain dll-files.com or something similar. Download it and extract it into your EQ directory. Chances are youll get another error after that though.

At that point though, patcher should recognize it and re-patch it if you run it.

I like the non-legit servers. In fact I believe I will leave WR just to play on them all the time. I like to see what I didnt get to see on live and what I am not willing to waste my life to get. Is there something wrong with that? Nope...but I wouldnt say that everyone gets tired of the non-legits in 2 hours or even a day. I have been playing for three days. I have never had a lvl 65 or any AAs or anything of that nature. There are many problems but Saltyboogers is the only one right now. Thats all... :shock:

Try re-installing directx9 it might fix your problem.
