ouc how about this... you store very valuable tuff in fp bank.. and become kos to them later on, barring you from that bank.

Trumpcard 05-14-2002 06:52 AM

Well, you should have thought about that before you pissed off the natives! Drop all your good stuff off in the bank, then run over and rob some helpless old lady, shame on you! You should lose your stuff! And really, how hard is it sneaking into a town?

LOL

As far as beta testers go... Lets see, is it fair that the guy across the street from me makes twice as much and works half as much? Is it fair when a child is born with a genetic defect? no...
Is it fair that I will NEVER get into Denise Richards pants?

Lifes just not fair..

I highly doubt they will be limiting their beta's to JUST the legends people, they are probably just assuring those people a first look..
Is that fair? Ask a legends player, hell yes its fair he'll say, they're paying 30 bucks a month more than you for that level of service! As it's 4 times more expensive than a regular account, in 3 months they spend just as much as others have in a year.. Is this elitist? Yes, of course, in a capitialist society, the good stuff goes to those with the $$$. If you don't like these concepts, I can suggest some good socialist regimes you can consider..

As far as all of the rest of us who have been playing since the late beta days, yea, I've probably spent around 500 bucks on this game over the past 3 years... 36 months or so at 7-8 a month, original game, 3 expansions, but I don't think that entitles me to VIP treatment.. If EVERYONE was entitled, you would have eq2 beta servers that had 300,000 people on them, you have to draw the line somewhere...

EverQuest (A History)

In the beginning there was Neren... A Druid with all of his points distributed to strength! Neren was a tank druid... The first of his kind. Neren's owner, um a friend of mine... ya, only paid $9.95 a month for his wonderful account. $9.95 for 30 wonderful days full of killing bats and giant wasps, and Neren's owner said 'This is good' and was happy.

Neren grew to lvl 12 and his owner realized a little more wisdom would be nice. So he recreated Neren, a better Neren, a Neren that even had a story written about him on Everlore (back in tha day). This Neren learned many a spell and slaid many an orc.

On day Neren's owner got on and a little poll popped up:

'Would you mind paying more for your EverQuest account?'

Neren's owner checked 'I guess not...'

This was a mistake... $12.95 a month is not good. $39.95 a month for Legends is a joke. Now Neren's owner plays with emulated servers. THE END! *claps*

Projects like eqemu give the average joe bloggs a look on the inside about how the wheels turn and burn inside a online game good reasons or bad it does not matter main thing is now we have the option to really create our own worlds , be part of an adventure that you like too! Epic encounters that you work your ass of for and always remember LoL damn so excited !

If they half-assed a product we'd have a gimp game like DAOC. Money is the world's best motivating factor. You work for it. You live for it. You die for it. Admit it or deny it, it is true.

um exuce me my ariak but DAoC has twice the graphics of everquest and probably is running the same engine that everquest2 will run off of so i dont know what daoc your thinking of but sure as hell can't be dark age of camelot see this is the thing with people today they start something and if there not the best at it within an hour they thing it sucks ass....

Well i ment thay care more about money than the players. i bet you 1000$ the if the GM's cost too much money thay would fire every single one and let the players go on their own.

They already did this. Called the "Shared GM Pool".

DAoC is really boring, has no real atmosphere, and no amazing graphics. Decent at best, but jeezus, they use the same texture for ground all over the entire game world.
