had a big reply typed but something about not being logged in made it poof hehe

To summarize, I was playing as normal, game crashed, restarted pc, restart EQW, and go to log in and it says incorrect version. Now, when I go to try and open eqw, the keyboard does not function at all (as you can see, it works fine elswhere). I patched eq on the version i play the live servers with, and downloaded the eqmain.dll file, and as you probably guessed it doesnt work with the emu. I tried to log on with my emu version of eq and it didnt work either. seems as if i downloaded eqmain.dll for both of them as they are the same exact size (in bits) :(

Looks like i wont be able to play on the emulator for a few weeks now heh

WOOT i just tried to load up eq (my backup) again and it worked (thank goodness for backup files!!)

the emu doesnt work if you patch though, be warned! ;)

People are reporting the patch breaks EQW even on live servers. As well as the eqemu server.

Welp I am a newb and did not back up my directory (I just got things FINALLY running prefect last night). Today's patch blew me out completely, both eqw and eqgame.exe. How often are there updates, as I'm dead in the water since we're not allowed to request a backup of eqmain.dll before todays patch? I'd really like to get back up and running but hadn't had a chance to backup since there was no point in backing up something that did not work, and I just got it running. Sorry if I'm venting, I'm just really pissed that I finally had it all working yesterday even with my own local server and now I'm totally screwed.
