Savnok 12-10-2008 06:59 AM

I'd be interested in the story behind the server absence. Please fill us in.

maxelish 12-10-2008 07:33 AM

There was a guess that either it is hardware malfunctioning or just a lockup of the processor of some sort.

81champions 12-10-2008 09:12 AM

I haven't spoken with FNW yet, if it's hardware he would be the first to know. But, my traceroute times out a few hops before PEQ so that suggests it may be ISP related.

Zech23 12-10-2008 01:56 PM

Doh - thanks for the update!

Hugghiebear 12-10-2008 02:02 PM

I'll have to remember to try tracerouting in my troubleshooting. I made the mistake of assuming that because it happened right at the backup that it was an issue with the server.

Thank goodness if it's an ISP issue. At least we know then that the server is healthy. :D

Strange. My traceroute times out on projecteq.net's IP and not the ISP.

I could be wrong, but this kind of suggest that its a problem with the box. Might just need to be rebooted.

Or hit by a bus ... tho my idea is still plausible you could get hit by a bus and still survive.

Vae 12-10-2008 04:05 PM

He could have been eaten by zombies and is now posting as a zombie.

You really never know!

That would lend further credence to the hit by a bus theory. I mean, zombies are pretty durable.

maxelish 12-10-2008 04:45 PM

Back to the important parts!

Do anyone know when we might be able to come back and play again?
