Also I will still be going public with the database but it needs so much work and has so much crap it shouldn't so it's not really appropriate to make it available yet.

Exp on the server is not as slow as real classic right now which is a bonus for those that are helping out finding stuff. =)

I started this exact project a few months back, although I was trying to create up to velious. I had a bunch of sql files that do some modifications that might help you. Of course, I didn't get close to finising either, and im not sure how much different my changes would be to yours.

Illegal activity
 

The server was down for a while because for some reason my hosting along with my home internet was turned off due to illegal activity. It took me 5-7 days to get new hosting and switch to a new cable company at home.

They actually turned off my home connection around 7pm due to illegal music downloads.

The whole issue has it's roots originally with the police which have been monitoring my internet and contacted these hosting services which caused the hosting services to start spying on me.

No, I will not tell you why the police were interested in me. :rolleyes:

I would have posted sooner but I had no access to any internet for a time. (I have a 3G internet card but I never get any service with that either at least in my home and having to go park my car somewhere with my laptop just so I can get a wireless connection was too much work for me.)

I remember playing my first eq days in steamfont.. everything that did not con green was KOS. It Took me a freaking month to get 5 levels, my wizard had to "meditate" for 30 minutes to get a full mana bar. EQ at that time had a hard on for unsuspecting noobs, even guards and merchants would kill you after a few "beg's". That was my first death as I remember when I logged in for the first time and saw the beg button so I figured this guys in shiny armor would be compasionate so 5 begs later my avatar had it's first corpse run.
