That was the actual log in server down this morning. But since the login was down I decided to go ahead and work on the non pet spell casters, starting with Wizards. The following alterations have been made to Wizard class spells.
-Reduced mana cost and casting time for direct damage, AOE, PBAOE, damage shields levels 1-65. -Increased range for direct damage, AOE, PBAOE, damage shields levels 1-65. -Increased duration of damage shield buff timer. -Around 25-30 percent increase in the area effect of all AOE and PBAOE spells. These changes will take effect tonight after the server restart. Additional fixes... -Mage summoning items spells in progress of being worked on <wrong items being summoned> -Soulbinder Jera will no longer tolerate being attacked =) -Spawn Fixes in Plane of fear. -Model corrections in Dulak. <wharf rats> -Updated newbie mobs models in freeport. |
Merchant tables redone again... alot more range in the prices of items now. Cheaper gear is even cheaper and the higher end ldon gear is more expensive. The changes made were basic changes to the formula structure instead of a large group of item's cost being determined in lumps, the equipment table has many more variables as far as determining worth of each individual item. This new phase of cost will be implemented tonight. Two additional LDoN equipment vendors added <Ear & Finger> Grats to the "Dark Brothers" for qualifying. Just under 100 items added to vendors this morning.

Clerics
Squeezing in some last minute work before tonights restart...
Our second class revamp is completed. Clerics have the following changes: -Reduced mana for heals, nukes, buffs, revives, and cleric only spells. -Slightly longer range for all above types. -Faster casting on above types. -Heal over time spells on above + 1 free tic. -Better cool down on some spells. -Up to 20 percent better area effect on area healing spells. |
-Pets now closer to live. No more godlike pets as we are much closer to completing mob testing.
-Fixed pets making pets.... -Spell range/mana cost tables upgraded. -Enabled guilds to be created. |
hey gang,,
first time poster here, I started playing on dark Tides and i hope to contunue to do so as it seems fairly stable... an Issue I had last night however was trying to zone from PoK to Nektulos... I would spawn just under the surface everytime leaving me no choice to click back into PoK and find anothe way around.... A little about me: 6 year veteran of EQ from Quellious Live server, took a year off and now I would like to play casually to have fun.. Im really interested in playing on a Legit server, however I do like the perks DarkTides offers atm.. I hope the exp bonus will stay, it would be nice to not have to grind soo much like on Live and be able to achieve higher content, this would certainly encourrage me to play more =P I plan on playing an SK Class: one of which I never had the time in 6 years to grind all the way out on the live servers, so I hope I can do this here.. Anyways, Let me know if theres anything I can do to help. |
another issue ive run into is:
Since last night I havent been able to log in... Each time Im at the character select screen and try to "Enter World" it tells me that zone isnt available.. is there a problem with the server or otherwise? Jasbo |
GMs will have it fixed (hopefully) soon, Jasbo. Don't quote me on that though. ;)

Jasbo that issue was fixed. .833 is slightly unstable as far as zones go but we stay up to date with the latest eqemu version. We had double experience and enhanced pets up until yesterday. Now pets are rebalanced and experience is set to 125% and some hot zones.

Over the weekend we had some problems with zones crashing after some tweaking on the windows server we believe most of the zones should restart properly now.

darktides
im still in the process of getting the game, sop i havnt actually been on yet, but are you talking about darktides, soul? and if so, which should i run? .808 or .844? cause i heard that those above .839 have problems with getting your char into the game

also, i was jus wondering how many total people you could fit in the server? cause with my knowledge of server ram (which isnt that much) 2gb should only be able to hold a few hundred people. am i wrong? thought so... lol
