Quests WORK! HAHA. Im sorry if anyone else has this problem -- BUT I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I DID. Reinstalled everything 1000000000 times and then reinstall it all at once and get mad errors and google / search them and log in and have it work. thats my solution :x

I'm not sure if this was a contributing factor, but you only need the SVN binaries. Pretty much all development has switched over to SVN. KLS may merge SVN into the CVS repository at some point, but updates are happening so quickly that even that would become outdated very fast.
