Is there a database that's current of the items that are summonable on the server? I stopped playing Live after PoP came out and have just started on this server (frickin awesome btw!). I'm having trouble discerning what's good and what's crap, and I have no idea about all the augments and slots and whatnot yet. I'm just trying to find gear right now. There used to be a weapon database that showed DPS, but for the life of me, I can't find one onw and the EQ and Weapons Database is offline... who knows how long for. All the info I've found was last updated sometime in 2006 most places I go. Allakhazam and other places are semi-helpful, but sorting through the choices is daunting.

lanileb 07-24-2007 02:09 PM

eqitems.13th-floor.org is a good place for items. And augs don't work on the server right now.

beerbong 07-25-2007 01:29 AM

Just so it can be known I am posting this,

GMs on this server give out unfair benefits to certain players only. GM favoritism is common on this server. Just something to watch out for.

lanileb 07-25-2007 02:01 AM

Really? We do? Mind explaining this instead of just saying "Gms on this server give unfair treatment to certain, select people." Because if I'm not mistaken you just posted not too long ago saying "This server is the shit." And listed your 5 level 75 characters.

beerbong 07-25-2007 02:20 AM

Things change. I don't want to get into a debate about it on these forums.

Good luck with your server, I just believe that should be known by those who play here.

lanileb 07-25-2007 02:38 AM

So...you're not even going to say what you think we are doing wrong? So essentially you're saying you have no proof? Not trying to make you feel like crap here but...you can't just go mudslinging saying "The GMs on this server give out special treatment" and then not say WHAT you think the GMs are doing.

beerbong 07-25-2007 02:56 AM

You guys gave out a GM item to a player and they still have it after telling people that he would only have it for 48 hours etc. etc.

lanileb 07-25-2007 03:42 AM

Ok then...guess that's something Strake did. I haven't handed out any GM items. Only GM event I have done was with Strake and that was a Best of the Best the night all of our zone servers were screwed. The winner got a free level 75 and a "Bag of Platinum Coins" that he sold to a vendor. I'll talk to him about it.

greeko 07-25-2007 10:12 AM

This is a great server and I think the GMs are excellent. Have you ever even attempted to contact one just to shoot the breeze and maybe even establish a friendship? They are great people.

beerbong 07-25-2007 10:36 AM

Never said the GMs are mean or anything. All I'm saying is they give out unfair benefits to some players and not others.

Chuteboxe 07-25-2007 11:58 AM

I have a much better question. So what?

So someone has something you don't? Has this GM Favoritism you speak of ever caused you any harm or setback as far as gameplay?

You're playing on a server with nearly everything accessible to you, lots of fun, and a great playerbase not to mention it's well maintained. What is there to complain about?

If "soandso player has something I don't and it's not fair" is the only negative thing that can be said for the server then I think the GM Team has nothing to worry about. Keep up the good work you all!

beerbong 07-25-2007 10:36 PM

Was simply stating it. Like I fucking said, not trying to start a dispute.

lanileb 07-26-2007 12:24 AM

Well when you state something like that it tends to get people riled up.

Damilis 07-26-2007 12:29 AM

Did you really think that by taking a single, personal experience and illogiclly blowing it up into a "GMs are unfair" statement that you WOULDN'T start a debate?

C'mon, you have GOT to be a smarter person than that.

These are personal servers, so expect to see 'favoritisms' like that. Hell, I give all kinds of great gear to my wife but not my friends. Besides, with such a low server population(relative to EQLive!), how is person X having Uber item Y affecting you in the slightest? (That is a question to be pondered, not replied to on the forums. )

..but the thread states 'Comments here' and I guess Opinions count as Comments... c'est la vie.

Strake 07-26-2007 07:23 AM

Okay guys, end of discussion on this. If you have a problem with me or another GM, then come and talk to us about it person to person, not publicly on the forums.

Thanks,
Dillon

John Adams 07-26-2007 08:52 AM

Out of respect for what seems to be a pretty cool server, please abide by Strakes wishes so I don't have to lock their thread. PMs are just as effective.

Thanks,
J

Strake 07-27-2007 07:25 AM

Been a while since our last update, so here we go! =p

We're working on the Epic 3.0 quests now. Just have a few more mobs to spawn, make some of the bosses harder, and load all the quest files and we should be ready to go with the Druid 3.0. but so far the only quest done is the druid one. However, in time, we hope to have every class with a 3.0 quest. Of course, we're going to make all the items where you cannot summon them, so we're gonna make you work for em =p

Hope you guys enjoy it!,
Dillon

(P.S. - All credit goes to Lulriz for doing the Druid quest =p)

John Adams 07-27-2007 08:14 AM

This'll be a noob question; are there really Epic 3.0's? Last I played, there were 1.5 and 2.0's... which of course I would never see unless I #summoned it ;)

I haven't been keeping up on live. The expand-o-matic dev team there keeps my head spinning.

Not on live, no. We're making each one manually :-p

Ok, now that is awesome. Nice work!

patyrn2k1 07-31-2007 10:34 PM

I've been playing on this server for a few days, it's a very laid back server, the couple of GM's I've encountered were very approchable, lot's of people running around, overall a good place to go when you just want to play around ...

lanileb 08-03-2007 11:10 PM

Umm...dude...the druid one is a 2.5 not a 3.0 hehe. We'll be implementing 3.0s after we get 2.5s for each class. 2.5s WILL be quite hard, 3.0s even more so. We won't have TOO many long, insane camps that are like 24 hours or something but the encounters we will hope ot make very.....interesting, to sum it up in 1 word. I just got back from vacation so I can restart work on the druid quest now once I catch up with Strake and see if he's done anything with it.

lanileb 08-07-2007 03:20 AM

Ok before you guys flood the topic with "What happened to the server!!!???"

I took the server down for about 5 seconds to restart it...now for somereason it won't come back up. Atleast it's not showing for me, same result for anyone else? If not let me know please. I'm getting responses in the SSH tunnel with ./stop and ./start to start/stop the server but the server doesn't seem to be showing up. I'll look into it and hopefully get a fix...

lanileb 08-07-2007 03:29 AM

Ok not sure what's going on right now. I'm getting responses in the tunnel whenever I do ./stop and ./start which means that the server is loading up correctly, but it doesn't seem to want to show up in the server list. Maybe it's just me (hopefully it is), if anyone else can not see the server in the serverlist post here please.

lanileb 08-07-2007 04:00 AM

*UPDATE*

I contacted Krusher and he said that the login server to the server is down so the server can't connect to it. The new hosting service the server has been switched to apparently hasn't been working very well. We're trying to get the server up ASAP folks.

rayman121985 08-07-2007 04:35 AM

Hopefully krushers server will stay non legit for a while...would love to play on one...

::rayman::

lanileb 08-07-2007 05:42 AM

*UPDATE*

Server is back up and running. Strake notified me of a glitch where if you skip an ID in a table the server crashes, I went back and checked an ID i had and sure enough it went from 2700036 to 2700038, changed taht to 2700037 and now the server is back up!

lanileb 08-07-2007 06:13 AM

Ok good update here.

Druid Epic 2.5 is just about finished! I'm putting the finishing touches on a few things right now, gonna put in the stats on the 2.5 and the halfway weapon and then it should be good to go! I'll post back when its finally complete but expect to see it done by this time tomorrow.

lanileb 08-07-2007 05:16 PM

Druid Epic 2.5 is now complete and fully functional. Look around in PoK and you'll find the person to start the quest.

*WARNING* DO NOT use the proc on the Assembled Woven Staff. I need to fix it, right now it bugs you and you're bugged until you zone.

shick1098 08-08-2007 07:23 AM

Thinking about playing this server. So i just want to get a few things straight: What is the average population of the server? If it is a very small population, then how is the soloability in the game? Is anything tweaked to address the soloability? ie. rogues can solo? And, say around lvl 50, how much experience is usually gained from a dark blue?

rayman121985 08-08-2007 11:28 AM

For some reason the aego buff ring seems to no work or have no stats...or is it just me?

thanks ... great server btw...it rocks...

The server is very solo friendly. The XP is approx. 5x the amount of live. The Population fluctuates but is between 6-15 players at a time. However i'm willing bet that once the new content is finished (new content loot is not summonable like the rest) the numbers will rise.

I have solo'ed a Rogue, Monk, Warrior, Ranger, Mage, and Wizard to 75 with no major problems. The players are very friendly and always willing to help, also the GMs are very approachable.

The new 70+ encounters are coming along great so now would be the time to start playing (as i'm not sure if they still plan on kicking down the XP.)

Shaolin the Shadow Boxer - 75 Monk
Nerve Wracking, Assassin of Quellious - 75 Rogue
Poop Stain - 75 Ranger
Fatt Azz AKA Big Baby Jesus - 75 Warrior
Spirit of Truth - 75 Mage
Crack Head - 75 Wizard
<Wu Tang Clan> Guildleader

lanileb 08-10-2007 06:23 AM

Yea, we may kick down the exp a little bit more. And I'm going to start work on 3 more 70+ encounters very soon. Expect to have more fun in potime A ;) No ETA yet on when they will all be done, but hopefully in the next month. Only reason it would take me a month to make them is they will probably be pretty complicated encounters. Not giving out any hints yet, but think Oartok the Deranged, except maybe bigger.

brybear22 08-10-2007 08:31 AM

testing to see if im activated

mcmetal 08-11-2007 03:56 AM

are tomes working?

also augs?

lanileb 08-11-2007 07:55 AM

Not at the moment no. Augs *should* be soon.

Chuteboxe 08-12-2007 04:36 AM

Rogue 2.5 is in the works at the moment as well as another rather involved quest for all classes.

Also be on the lookout for upcoming Zone Revamps.

lanileb 08-12-2007 05:26 AM

I'll post updates here regularly from here on out whenever I got new updates to announce and the status of certain things that we're working on;

New Content:
Druid Epic 2.5
Oartok the Deranged

Content currently in the works:
Custom armor for all classes that will be quested for and killed for
Rogue 2.5
Salden the High/An Enchanted Griffin encounter in potimeA
Revamping Crushbone to turn it into a high level raid zone with fast paced action

Content to be added at a later date:
Epic 2.5 for the remaining classes (way, way down the road)
2 more encounters in PoTimeA and a *special* encounter there that the players will have to discover how to activate
More zones being revamped for levels 65+

qwertyo 08-14-2007 08:30 PM

To respond to making experience slower, that might be a good thing as it would give some sense of achievement to being 75 as anyone who has a few hours to kill can make it to 75 even if they haven't played EQ for years. I like running through guk and mistmoore and other old mid level zones and I find myself constantly making new characters so I can run through those zones again. However, those characters all level up to 75 so quickly that I never get my fill. Still, the fact remains that grinding xp isn't fun and it'd be best if there was some balance between xp being slow enough so that you aren't level 50 within 30 minutes of making a character, but you also weren't left grinding out AA's in potimea. I think mobs can be set to give AA when they are killed from an early Oarlok test, so perhaps revamping a zone so that mobs give increased AA only xp would solve that issue. I'm not completely sure if you can differentiate between AA and regular xp, however, but the finer details I'll leave to the GMs and developers. On the list of things in the works I saw revamping crushbone, that sort of worries me because I love crushbone, but if the mobs were leveled up and I could get my 75s some AA camping a reasonably difficult D'Vinn I'd enjoy that much more than tearing the zone apart as a level 6 with 4k hp and a mage epic pet.

I've also heard talk about nerfing or taking away the sword of truth, and I think thats a good idea. The sword is overpowered and it unbalances DPS. It'd be nice to not see monks or casters running around with gigantic black swords. Some people might complain, but like the prayers nerf it will lead to better class balance when taking down big mobs, which is what the new content is being developed for anyways.

Just some input, besides that, the server is great and I look forward to seeing the new developments in the near future so keep up the good work.

Regards,
Animosity / Cleric / Wraa / Vizage / every character in
<Pantheon>

lanileb 08-15-2007 06:11 AM

Aye, thats what we're aiming for. And about the CB revamp. It's gonna be meant for a raid of probably 5-6 high 70s players, and we'll add in custom items eventually aswell to the zone.
