I'd also like to add:

I had the 1017 (repatch needed, or something like that) as well. The way I fixed it was by using the "eqemu" username and the "eqemu" password (Minilogin.exe seemed to always check for this user, regardless what you actually typed).

Hope that clears it up for some, along with Nemo's post !

BTW, I'm using the 5.0 with the most recent EQ patch.

I can log onto other EQemu servers just fine but not mine..I keep getting the 1017 error. Help me please.
