So what is the progress on the EQ 2 Emulator? It seems everything has been quiet for awhile.

I pmed Zordon on the MXO fourms he is working on the EQ2Collector and things are going extremely slow and he has loads of other work to do. It will probably be awhile till we see a EQ2 Emulator.

The collector isn't the issue. it's almost done. (the first part anyways). We've got a rather large and growing DB of EQ2 data already.

FYI, blizzard killed GotWow, not sony. And don't hold your breath for a EQ2emu for a long time. It's so far off it's not even funny. Collection progress is going very smoothly though. Been collecting data on EQ2 since day 1.

So we probably won't be seeing an EQ2Emu till later next year. Next summer if we are lucky?

Though the project could speed up, who knows.

it took a few years after eq1's release to get one even resembling a workable prototype. i'm sure eq2 may be faster because of the advances in collecting. but it very well may take a few years.

It would be a bummer to have to wait a few years in order for the first release. I hope the project speeds up.

Well... if you had no clue there was one and it just came up it wouldnt suck to wait, cause you wouldnt be waiting.

Well, as Sotonin said, it would most likely be somewhere around a year atleast from now to get something working. Then getting it actually playable.. eh

Id say summer '06 for a playable project. Having something working on the other hand, much quicker.
