No, he's right. Using openzone itself doesn't really require any art talent. But object design definitely takes creativity and knowledge of programs like 3ds max, etc. If your goals are to create EQLive-like and better zones(OoW for example), you'll want to use a hybrid OpenZone + objects created with external 3d programs(Maya, 3DS Max, etc.) system.

I agree that no one has yet flamed in this thread, kk, except for relorm, who just flamed. Everyone has said their opinions, such as how the heck we are going to get that many staff. Also, that is how much I would like to have, hehe, I don't know if I will get that many. Hoping for atleast 1-2 of each thing though =).

Also, thank you for still no flamiing and turning this back into a war-zone, plus, thanx for cutting down on most of the arguing. Keep it up guys. This post is turning into a massive conversation about how to make a good server =). Atleast I think this. You have all put in opinions about how to make a good server, and this is great =D. Also, Cisyouc, if you want to post in this thread again, no one is stopping you =). I am learning much from this thread myself, as are probably others.

I have a question for you all though:
When is too much for a server, because, some-times, when a server is too good, no one will play it. If the patch is like EQLive, people won't like it. When should you stop making new zones and such to make the server rating go up. Sometimes other connections also can't handle all of the things in the server, and you start losing players. Just wondering where I should go with this. I want to do a lot, but, I don't think everything can go into this server.

Input would be great. Still haven't gotten any complaints, suggestions, etc in email. Send me your input, I am not going to go crazy all over you like some people =P.

first.. put your eyes in the players position. like dont make unnecessary shit. and try to make things alot more convenient for the players. (this prolly would ruin all ideas but.. people like a click and play server alot better then downloading files to play) and.. hmmm ya more features the better, try to get the "ever" part of everquest in =D be creative, try to be original.. dont steal others ideas.. hmmm if i think of anything else, yea..

second.. be on your GMs case alot, dont let them do dumb shit. corrupt GMs = unhappy or uneven players (uneven as in a gm giving them armor/weapon or buffs they shouldnt have)

I'm new to forums, so forgive me if I dont respect you, but ive been browsing the forums and every time a noob asks a good question he seems to get flamed and your name is always on the list.

Theres a fine line between helping people and this emulator by answering noobs questions, and flaming them. I think your starting to cross that line sotonin.

I know someone is gonna be mad at me since im new to the forums, calling me a noob, etc. But you can just think of me as a neutral party in this argument.

Your idea of "flaming" may be very lax then. If you mean posting quick responses telling them to search or read the tutorials, then yep, i guess i do. There's a very huge amount of people who come around asking the same things 20 times a day without reading anything.

I don't insult them or put them down i just tell them to read first ask questions later. Sorry if you think this is flaming. If you do you should perhaps try some other forums, because we aren't as tight up as you apparently.

Seriously, Bafoon ( relorm ) is 100% annoying.... If u check every little topic, he has a post in it with like "agreed" or " yea yea i know about dr8" ...
