Looks good. I've been expecting one of them for a while actually, and I'm suprised they're making us pay for it. |
no they are giving non payers a LESS SOPHISTICATED version of it if you read. I assume it will be like that for the Guild Managment tool also...and what I am psyched about is the armor dyes...finally all my mismatched armor will be all the same color! |
they are putting dyes in EQ 1 now? Omg, they just couldn't wait to rip off DAOC. I thought they were going to wait till EQ 2 to rip off every up to date mmorpg. gfg :? |
i wanted it mostly for the Spells, Bigger bank, Frogloks sound cool but, they Frogs... |
Technically, wouldn't the dyeing be ripping off Ultima Online? You were able to dye fabrics since day one, and I *believe* (although I haven't played UO for a long long time) that you've been able to dye armors for awhile now too. =) |
When it comes down to it... just about anything they could add as an extra non-game play based "toy" would be ripping off someone somewhere, even if they didn't realize it. As an American flag cleric, (armor is Red, silver(white), and blue) I can't WAIT for the dyes... I'm sick of looking like a flag... rofl |

now i think that was a rip off from DAOC (unless some other game had it first, that i didnt know about)... |
All RPG (not MMORPG) got it or such as for a long time now (the journal) |
i hate when people say EQ ripsoff DAoC....for armor dyes. Thats like saying DAoC ripped off EQ for making an MMORPG...jeez people get real. |
Don't forget that a lot of the things in EQ and DAOC came from user suggestions years ago. Who ripped off who? and who cares? |
you could say that EQ ripped off D&D but then D&D ripped off Tolkien's works but Tolkien got alot from past fantasy novels and folklore of Ancient Europe so in reality no one has ripped off anyone. |

To fully regression test the entire thing before ever patch would take forever.. These things are going to happen.. Imagine changing a letter in a 1500 page novel, just to find out that one letter changed 500 other letters that you have to manually go in and find and fix.. Thats software engineering.... |
