Says world's down
 

I've sat here for half an hour trying to get on any server and it says world is down and know i haven't patched in a long time so the dec 18 thing shouldn't be a issue

I got booted from brightblade and have not been able to log onto ANY server yet.. Every server says "World is Down". Some feedback on this issue would be highly appreciated.

i'm having this problem too.....been waiting for someone to say a solution but now I'm gonna say something.I wanna play so come on you know you want to.

I have the exact same problem, but it says Submitting player to world forever....not World is Down or whatever....

What i ment was yes, it does say submitting character to server for about 2 min. Then finally it says the world is down. I have tried every server at least 2 times to make sure it wasnt just brightblade, and its every server. Im guesing mabey its eqemu and not the servers, but the only real thing we can do is wait for feedback or continue to madly hit the [play] key until we get in :(

Same problem here for me and for Kran who's in network with me, i don't know where does the problem come from but i hope it's a bug and it will be ok soon :roll:

I tried to patch to see if the problem will be solved but nothing happens :x

ping the world server and it will time out all ping requests, its just down, have to wait till they get it back up. reguardless of what your login screen says being its down its not going to update with correct information, nobody else is playing either. crap happens, just have to try later.

Notably the server population counts have remained the same everytime I attempt login so somethings amiss here, the server populations/server selection should have changed in the 6 hours since I tried last, but thier identicle every time.

Dammit all to hell. I did a system restore to the last time I could play Emu and it didnt work. I started getting a World Down message for Raid Addicts and for all the other servers it will stick in "Submitting player..." and then kick me to server login.

So, I did another restore to the 17th, being that it would have been impossible for me to have had any files from the latest patch, and still the same problem persists. I dont have live!!! I cant LIVE without my Emu! <twitches> Someone help these poor lost souls.

Its not your files Deadly, its the login servers I think. I just hope something is done soon because me and my family are waiting to play :twisted: none of the servers i tried work.

Hey, are you gotyou, on Brightblade? maybe I am just crazy but I think I remember a Rogue killing all the stuff in Fear Plane *kinda off subject* Anywhoozles, same here...I did what a couple of people did and tried patching to see if that would work, alas, I still have the trouble. Now I hope I don't regret patching when the servers are back up again (dec 18th patch etc.) :?

Yup im Gotyou In`The`Back. And if I were you I would reload windows because brightblade proboloy is not going to update the server. Which means you wont be able to log in. So you should proboly take advantage of the downtime :shock:

I was wondering if any of the devs or anyone knowledgable could tell us whats up with the login server and when itle be fixed if its not too much

Seeing how not one eqemu tech has responded to the post yet. I am guessing they wont until after christmas. Kind of a let down but what can you do :?

I freaked out when I saw "Submitting player to world server" and nothing was happening..

I patched EQ.. and stuff. Its gotta be some server thats dead.
can't play my chars on Brightblade no more :? ah well

Hope it gets fixxed sooner or later today..

Terminal. I think there is somthing you can dload to make you be able to play on dr2 if you patched.. Check the forums and search the website for hope. If you find none then consider reloading windows. We want you back =/

I got inside bad news... The developer that runs the login servers is on vacation.. So it might be a while.

Same problem here. Have tried diff methods.. At first i thought that i had been banned for something =/ Well, at least thats out of the way... Any admins/devs wanna comment on this perdiciment?

I am not an admin/dev, but go on IRC and you will hear that LethalEncouter is on vacation and only he can sort this out.

ah the whole project is down because one person is on vacation hmmm...can we say all your eggs in one basket .

I was reading the eqhost.txt problem thread somewhere below and someone suggested eqlogin3.eqemulator.net and the server connected to it. Will this work, or not? I feel very confused right now, but hey-I can dream I am still sane even without EQEmu, right?
