ok Wtf.......

i open world.exe i get this:

Loginserver.ini read.
Using Database 'eq' at locahost
Loading items...done.
Loading guild ranks...done
World server listening on: port 9000

it is missing the last part saying:

"Connected to LoginServer: eqlogin.eqemu.org:5999"

I get this shit like every night and day and sometimes it still works, I have no idea, even if i just change the host to the eqemu loginserver ( and leave world.exe and boot5zones closed)and i cannot login on my account i get a error 1001 ( Cannot log on Try agian later)

message at loginserver screen ( Cannot log on Try agian later).

I have tried- shutting down unplugging cable modem, leaving it like that for 15 minutes, coming back and opening it up agian and STILL same problem.

I have tried leaving the world.exe open and it DOES NOT CHANGE

just a "Unable to get the hostname. Error: 11004." comes up. over and over

Anyone have ANY IDEAS?

You're having trouble connecting to the loginserver.


hmmm... Try re-checking your IP. you said you tried unplugging everything for 15 minutes and usually that will get you a new IP.

Are you on a router or anything? firewall?

I dont get a new ip
just ran command ipconfig in ms-dos

you double click the icon for chat lol. its differant for every IRC program you get.

you have to download an IRC program like MIRC.

No *'s , blank spaces, or - where the servers+IPs or IPs are listed....

nope thats fine.. just use 64.81.113.125 as the loginserver from now on (JUST YOU, not everyone lol). replace all eqlogin.eqemu.net's to 64.81.113.125 and you should be fine.. thank your ISP for such great service :)
