It was fun soloing stuff for about a half hour. It gets old quick when there's no risk involved. Non-legit is fine to goof off on for a few minutes, but it didn't thrill me much to play any longer. But to each their own I suppose. :)

personally, the first thing i have done under EQEmu wasnt soloing big mob like Seru as i have done it on EQLive, it was getting my SK Epic. My weapon on EQLive was way better, but seeing my character on EQEmu with my Epic was like /orgasm.

u know there is a guyz on live, named Tecnoboy or something like that, that soloed Vox and naggy...

Probably an exploit. Either that or before they added the 52- requirement.

No he was legit...buffed by level 65's and he had a shitload of heal potions or some right clicky heal thing. I forget which. Either way it was "solo", but it was cheese. He was a monk.

Lol sweet. On Ayonae Ro we had a lot of exploiters trying to get good loot from Naggy and Vox. I remember once while I was leading a Naggy raid a lvl 52 warrior and a lvl 53 cleric went in there and started to take him out. A GM popped in, froze them, warned their account, and killed them :D

In live, GMs cannot kill players, as far as I know unless they're in an Event in the Arena?

Hmm she was the Servers Lead GM. She was real nice to everyone but she didn't like cheating. I think maybe she might have just banished them out of the zone.

Name is Tecknoe... bout a year ago i got a link from a friend (?) that had the video and his magelo. His shaman friend videotaped it.... but it doesnt show him before the fight, just him closeby and engaging naggy if i remember correct. I like non-legit/semi-legit servers since they let me do things I have always wanted to do that would never happen on eqlive or a legit server.

Anyway, that Tecknoe guy beats the hell out of my 52 live ranger. Lol my hp isnt even 2.3k and my ac is barely at 1k. Makes me feel so unworthy.

BUT LET'S COMPARE TO my char on EqEmu! Hmm you're lookin at 10k hp, 1200-1400 ac, 1100 atk, 300+ everything, all (including GoD) spells. and if i use the super retarded power swords (they fit in every slot... It looks weird when someone inspect you and they see you have a short sword for a BP ) :D i'll have like 110khp, about the same in AC, 355 everything, Enough resist to save my ass from a DT, Damage output like 10k a hit... but when i try to fight vox/naggy,

I am on the same server Techno Destructo is on..that being Vazaelle. It is all legit and this is an alt of Quarken Xired..go to www.promethianorder.org and you can get the movies of the whole thing, he does it on a regular basis, and not a big deal anymore.

No question that it was legit. But there's still ways to be cheesy when it's legit. :)

Honestly if the mobs on these servers werent totally gimped, and the players werent completely overpowered, these kind of non-legit servers could be really fun

what i wouldve liked to be able to do is get a few friends, get full planar armor, all AA's level 65 etc, and try to raid the mobs like you would on live. Everything is in tact and as hard as they are on live, the only difference is i dont have to spend a year leveling and gearing up my character

i think that is more fun than having overpowered pc's running around killing gimped npcs

Yeah, I agree, having a can-o-whoop ass and the best wpn there IS, is NOT fun to me that is JUST too easy....... but to get equipment that would be condusive to whatever level you are wanting to be and THEN raid with a group would be fun...:)
