Zarn Barn WRU?
 

I have been having a really good time playing on the Zarn Barn server. It appears to be down. Just wondering if anyone knew anything on its whereabouts.

admin went out of town for a week, wont be back until the 17th/18th, so looks like the server will be down until then

whats up with all my toons loosing their gear over night?

Don't matter now cause I cant seem to see any servers on the list...

not sure what that's all about. All I could figure out is that the player profile is getting corrupted at some point during zoning from the people who had the problem. It hasn't cropped up again recently though, so that's at least good news.

If MySQL tables get damaged, you might have to run a repair on them.

I've had this happen with InnoDB tables, and it either crashes zones or prevents things from loading.

So, if you have an old (read: IDE Cable, Gateway with Windows 98-stolen) harddrive like I do, this may happen. It can also happen if you don't defrag often.

Zarn Barn is the server where I have chosen to play and this evening it suddenly crashed and is no longer on my server list. Anyone have any news on this?

Zarn Barn is down. its 1:30am Pacific standard time.

That zone crashing comment sounds accurate. 7 zone crashes for me trying to play on Zarn Barn for the last hour or so. Fun to play, but frustrating to crash every few kills.

Is there a site for this server?

Not that I know of. Its a fun server but I have tried several and this one seems to crash constantly.

I can actually see when it crashes, and since I've disabled the #bot command it's been a lot, lot less zone crashing. However with the past two nights there's been a number of connection outages where the server is located, but hopefully that's over with.

Ok, im getting withdrawal symptoms, ive come and refreshed server list around 11 times since it went down. Where are j00. Me love you Long time! 5 Dorra make your horra?

Server was down for a few hours last night around 9:00pm-12:00am est. Had to come down so we could watch Zombieland.

i don't really support that these are the events that transpired. I stand by that we had an intermittent outage due to necessary transcoding operations that were scheduled to occur during those times (9:00pm-12:00am eDt)

edit: and sorry for the lack of warning on that one, but there was a lack of a client here and I don't know of a way to shut down the server without being on and #worldshutdown, if anyone knows a way I'd be all ears

Anyone know whats going on server has been down since yesterday? when is it gonna come back up?

not sure I understand you perfectly, anyways, you might want to try this tool.
I still use the "old" version tho to broadcast and reboot. it's a great help for server ops.

Also, you can set up a telnet connection to your server. It will give you the basic necessities such as being able to send tells to players online, speak in OOC chat, and make broadcasts.

If you need any help, feel free to search around on the forums or PM me. I don't want to clutter up your server thread with all the details =)

idk its been down for about three days and ive been wondering the same thing DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT HAPPEN?!?!?!?!?!

I hope it comes back soon, I want to play some Zarns. I really like that server.

The Barn is closed. We were unprepared for the surge of popularity and instead of struggling to keep up with progression we've decided to end this project before it turned into some sick abomination.

Zarn Barn was basically a test. My brother and I enjoyed working with y'all but this was our first attempt at an emulated server. We had no intentions of even opening the server to the public from the start. Zarn Barn was our baby and at the first signs of turning sour we turned everything off.

I'd like to apologize to everyone who enjoyed playing in the Barn for the abrupt ending. There was a huge lack of warning and I am sorry for that


Hopefully Zarn will be more prepared for you animals next time around.

It was a pleasure to have played on your server, Izzey, I miss it.
I really liked the idea of higher item stats - Made you feel powerful.
