shows 890 people on p99 server are online tho lol ..so just cant log in atm? and if u were already logged in you stay in ?

My friend and I can't log in either.

There are over 600 people (300 guest, 300 logged in members) on the P99 forums, so that server is down as well. Its just bugged and still showing 890 ppl online (has been 890 for almost a hour)

Says servers cant be reached. Is everyone on comcast here?

Supposedly Hobby has texted Rogean so he is aware of the problem. We just wait now. :(

well i was in butchblock killing bandits and was about to med. I casted a buff on myself and i noticed i was going linkdead. i haven't been able to reconnect. so i don't know how accurate that 890 really is. i am on qwest

The IP address being returned for the login server does not match the new IP address posted by Rogean after the recent host change. No idea if that has anything to do with it, but I didn't see anything more recent that suggested they had changed hosts again.

I sure hope the scumbags who hacked Sony, didn't decide to hack this system as well.
Considering how this whole thing requires a totally unpatched client I don't see how they could update security and be able to push out an updated client.
This could take things down permanently.

I doubt it. They hacked sony for CC information. None of that to be had here...

Not worth their time. If they can hack PSN they wouldnt waste their time hacking stuff just for the hell of it, if theres nothing to gain from it.

Seeing as people were reporting players in servers and then multiple people saying they couldn't connect on comcast i dont see why that wouldnt be fair assumption of the connection issue.

but now since people have reported no ones connected to the servers and server devs confirming the login servers are down. thats obviously not the problem.

I'm guessing not a comcast only thing, though the possible of threats is getting rediculous as a whole lately. Read the above post from people international and on qwest internet providers, as well as at&t.

I'm on comcast, so i thought the same till i read al lthe posts. It better not be a -bleep- DDOS attack, and if it is, I pray those that maintain the site/servers, hang the fools involved.

Might have just taken a bit to replicate but I can now get on in Seattle WA

Log in server is up but I don't see project1999 yet.

I fixed it for myself. Here's what I did:

Go into your C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc

edit "hosts"

add a new entry for 216.59.33.136 login.eqemulator.net

Next, run IPCONFIG /FLUSHDNS

That worked for me. I hope that helps!
