Harbinger's Safehaven
 

Harbinger's Safehaven is a new server, without the help of the EQEmulator community it would have never happened, thank you.

Some goals include:
1. Fully custom content.
2. Hubzone, Tutorial Zone.
3. Players will have access to #peqzone and #fz to get rid of boring walking to zones.
4. Some extra stuff may include a race changer to make you a race that is not available for use with your race, to go along with this all items will be all races. ;D
5. Heal on level has been set, so those pesky trains don't kill you!

Current Issue: Can not set worldserver as I forgot password to an old one which is set to public, so, as of now, I have no way of putting up the link to the website upon clicking 'view', so here it is: Harbinger's Safehaven Guildlaunch

You put in alot of work on the server, put in like 20 minutes so people can get excited about your vision as well.

I'd recommend making a Changelog somewhere, and updating the main post with that as well so people can see what's going on.

I would like to throw my two cents in.

Even working on my own server for the past few months I haven't really religiously on a server since krushers non-legit. I checked this server out and haven't stopped playing.

I've been chatting with the server owner who's is constantly working on content.(currently 0.5 and 1.0 Teri content are out)

Please do check out and give this server a shot.

Server has come across an error and will be down for the time being. Im currently on skype with Zamthos (owner) trying to troubleshoot the problem.

Okay, the server is working correctly, however, the characters have been deleted, as a way to say "I'm sorry.", I will be giving out FULL T1 and free Epic 1.0s to whomever logs in. On a side note, bots have been added to the server.

Server is back up with bots today. I've taken the server's hosting needs under my wing. Might get involved with a tiny bit of development to help the owner of the server get on his feet script wise.

I have already fixed a few crash issues as a result of hosting them, keep an eye out on the official eqemu googlecode page (and soon github) for updates regarding that.

They're getting a website soon, but I wanted to update this with some updates that literally took 10 minutes to make in the meantime:

-Added three new custom newbie zones for gear. The mobs have increased (doubled) hitpoints and damage, but drop 35% of the time a random piece of armor specific to that zone. These zones also offer double experience in return for their challenge.
-Nerfed the starting gear to be lesser in power.
-Nerfed the insane EXP rate. It was way out of whack. This goes for AAs too.

Aye you would be correct. After recent events the staff decided that it was best to drop it. We are in the works on a secret project we will be releasing the info and details on that later.

Char Wipe
 

I am saddened by the decision to have a character wipe and blame it on an equipment or progression scale down. That is the quickest way I know to cause people to leave the server. :mad:

yet the Gm claims its the 2nd time chars had ti be wiped,


Can people Actually inform him how many times weve had to malke NEW chars,

Ive played since day 1,

And yesterday i made my 4th verison of my tank

Why keep playing on a server where the GM acts like a child, wipes chars constantly? Seems like a big waste of time if you ask me.

Flaming a server operator and his server is going to get you no where, Kyle.

You're going to flame me? Really? I try my best with the server, I wiped characters because people were complaining about the stats being reduced in the first place so I thought it better to let them replay the content with the new stats as to allow them to adjust, saying I act as though I am a child is ridiculous and childish of you to say, and as for the the character wipes being 'blamed' on something, I have no need to put a reason behind my doing a character wipe, although when I give one the reason is pushed aside as I am just 'finding a scapegoat', it's ridiculous how that works. The server is back up, whether or not people wish to come back is a different story, all are welcome, good day.


EDIT: Also, boweq, I would like to inform you that you are, in fact, wrong about the number of wipes we have had, and telling players to inform me of something I have done is almost as imbecilic as telling the inventor of something how to work it.

okay then,
lets work this out then


Started as Mycom - Warrior
Then You added Bots = Char Wipe

Then remade as Warrior again, Then When the Problem between
You and Kenej - you toke server down , brought it back up with a char wipe
( this is when You made the Powersources)
Then this Char wipe because stats were to high, where infact the stats were fine , Your problem was Setstats 400 - Every GM Apart from yourself , Knows 400 defense and 400 dodge makes any character Godmode, on emu.

Then Heres the 4th Character I made 3days ago..

So thats 3 Char Wipes For sure

Also ive spoke to Kenej, He said upto when he stoped working on the server , There was 2 char wipes..

I don't really want to be involved in this.. he is right about the number of wipes though.
