Uthra Progression Server
I figured I'd post about the mystery server hiding way down at the bottom that is locked, called Uthra-
First and foremost, I am Psepheryx, and very new at coding, but am hoping to pick it up quickly. My boyfriend is teaching me how to code as we go-and yes, he's the primary in producing this new server. We are hoping to have a beta test open here in a week or so- It's still small, and definitely a work in progress. I, or my boyfriend will keep everyone updated on the progression of our server. |

This is just a side project while other parties with DiabloQuest are out of commission- merely a learning experience for me, so I can get a grasp on coding. :) DiabloQuest will take presidence when the other party is back to being able to work ;)

We're adding mobs and other little fun touches before releasing for Beta testing. We should more than likely have it ready by the first. We should also have a website up soon 8-)

So, there's been the idea on servers of people just starting out at maximum level, because leveling is boring, and crap. I personally agree, now EZ server has spells you can get at level 70, like the level 70 Pet for Clerics and what not and that pet is stronger. Remembering these ideas and talking it over with Psepheryx, we've both come to the conclusion of letting EVERYONE start at level 50. On the Spell Vendor which we'll have set up, you will be able to purchase your level 50 spells that are custom made (The names of spells might be the same, like, Ice Commit might be still Ice Commit), and little things like that, but the damages and stuff will be raised.
Then the questions of pets came up, you know 'What are we going to do about pets.' -- Again, I refer to EZ Server, yes I am using their idea of essentially the same thing... In the first zone you encounter, as a Magician, you will find a pet, this pet will help you MAJORLY in the next zone, if you were a smart alec and just went to the second zone without your pet from this zone, you'll probably notice your pet doesn't do that great. This is intended. Just an example of what the pets are going to be like, mind you this is to change at any time. SumWaterR1 - Level 50 - HP 4000 - Damage 35 - 80 (With Flurry). Then when you went to Zone 1 SumWaterR2 - Level 50 - HP 6000 - Damage 50 - 120 (With Flurry, Rampage). And upgrades as such throughout the zones. Necromancer pets are going to be a set up a bit different, and Shadow Knights are going to have different pets then Skeletons. Spells (Damage spells too), are going to be different. I'm probably going to keep the same aspect as level 1 spells, I'm thinking (Like keep Burst of Flame except modify it's damage, cast time and recovery time to match that of a level 50 spell). This is just an idea and we're probably going to run with it. Beta will consist of Zone1(Order and Chaos) Zone2(Order and Chaos), and Tier1(Order and Chaos). We have a website and forums now, as well... The forums are retarded because I haven't gotten paid yet, when I do we'll upgrade them, for now, registration is pretty annoying four ad banners, easy to get around, just click 'No thanks' on all of them... Hey guys! Sorry no one has posted on here for a minute or two... I'm here to say the sister server of DiabloQuest is going great (Uthra is the sister server for those who don't know.)
Couple of things I'd like to post here just so people are aware... Classes; BARDS - We are currently NOT supporting bards until we can get their songs more balanced, we're working on a patch for it, but, we do not have a ETA of when they will be ready. HEALERS(Druids, Shamans, Clerics) - As with every server healers will be needed to really progress. You can two box on the server, so at least there's that. On top of that, we've made healing a bit easier as well for you, In the beta you will have up to 3 healing spells, and 2 buff spells, these buff spells are single target and then group target, Shamans, Paladins, and Clerics stacks. Druids do not, because they have thorns. TANKS(Warriors, Shadow Knights, Paladins *BARDS*) - Tanks won't really be 'required' so to speak, maybe for boss fights they will be, all around it's a good idea to have at least a Shadow Knight whom is a half-bred tank in there at least. - Warriors will have EXTENDED Stonewall, It will NOT drain your Endurance, however will cost significantly more. - Shadow Knights will have Life Stealing effects (Surprised? Lol). - Paladins will be able to either tank with one-handed or two-handed with epics, benefits are still undecided on either one. - *BARDS* Yes, you saw it. I'm turning Bards into tanks. How I'm going to is still up to be decided, but I've always wanted my bard to be able to tank. I might give them a combination of rune + a stonewall song... Again, I'm undecided. RANGERS - They get their own topic because I'm actually making their ranged more beneficial then their melee. I've increased the damage they deal with bow (well more everyone), from the 1.0 it has to 1.5 this may be adjusted over time. CASTERS(Pet Classes) - All of you have control of your pets now. CASTERS(Non-Pet Classes) - Your damage spells have a chance to proc a stun to prevent your face from getting melee'd off. =P MELEE DPS - I can't really do to much for you guys. Most of you are pretty OP as it stands. I've brought down Berserkers a little bit, with the weapons I have on the server they STILL were pulling the most DPS out of the Melee classes, monks were lowest, I've raised the stats on you by a bit. They literally have to have their own stuff and if you try to give anything bard related to another class in custom spells it will make that class act as if they are playing a song. Bumping this thread. Wanting to let everyone know it was on hold for a minute due to real life problems (Involving Comcast being stupid about our internet, saying we didn't pay when we did... Needless to say, stupid.)
We're back up, and the only thing left is Spells to do. Expect to see it open soon! EDIT; I forgot to add -- Spells are in need of being tested once I add them. I'll be adjusting hit points accordingly, this is meant to be a solo, but not solo server... Once you get full gear from Zone1 you should be able to kill bosses easier, the only boss that should prove to be an issue is the LAST boss of Zone1. Which is required to get into Zone2 (go figure, right?) I'll be testing spells out over the next couple days. It shouldn't take me more then my two days off (Tomorrow and the next day.) to get spells tested, and adjusted accordingly. Healing spells are done, and so are buffs. I rather like how I have them laid out. I will be making a buff bot in respective towns so people can have some buffs going into Zone1. Since we're allowing people to start out at a decent level. Mage spells are lower damage because your pets makes up for it. Necromancers, same thing. Enchanters on the other hands. YOU GUYS... I'm still at a lost with what to do with you. You tricky kids. ;). EDIT2; I'd like to add that it's surprising the amount of spell editing that has to be done to custom servers - I'm not making it so you have 9127391273891273 spells. You have 3 spells when you start. Shield, Damage, and Gate as a Wizard. The three spells that are commonly used, dropped spells are like, Root, and snare and stuff. But three base spells. I PERSONALLY feel this will make things just a ton better... -- But yeah like I was saying I was editing spell costs, I set it to start at 150 mana doing 150 damage. I logged in my test wizard and I was oom before the mob was 50%... Adjusted it down about half, and going to test it now... It's just so weird... |
I posted last night right before I fell asleep about the three spell thing for Wizards, and what not... This might seem confusing or unneeded so I'm letting you in on what the Magician spells are going to look like! (As well as pets information), Now Zone2 + Tier1 aren't set for certain, but Start is set for certain.
After Tier1 Mage's are going to get EPIC pets. Kind of like the skittle stick, in fact the first item you're going to get for the epic IS going to be "The Skittle Stick." I've yet to decide what I'm going to rename other epics, epic quests aren't going to be 'easy' though. Beta you'll be able to get to Tier1 but you won't be able to obtain your epic until we break it out of Beta (Shouldn't take more then a couple weeks to get get out of the Beta... Since it's just spells, adjusting NPC's, and a few other small things.) Anyway, here is a screenie of what the spells look like. =). http://i44.tinypic.com/rbmw0k.png I've tested the pets in Zone1 (Starter pets that is), and they could tank trash, and with the help of DS and the Mage's spells they died just fine. Pet had about 40%+ (Depending on what one you summoned), Mage at a good mana too. You'll be able to kill two or so without medding until you get the spell that drops from Zone1, then you should be able to kill more. Just like normal progression servers. =)... Things are going great, moving right along to Necromancers! |

We've disabled the stupid forums that required a ton of sign up stupid stuff, and now have forums that you sign up with weebly you have a forum account. GG =P Figured I'd let everyone know. While looking at the server and doing some random progression, I had a realization that people will get bored of the whole Everquest classes... So we've decided to change it up a bit, below is what we've done. As you all know there's 16 classes in Everquest, and four different type of them. Melee - Berskerker, Monk, Rogue, Warrior Priest - Cleric, Druid, Shaman Casters - Enchanter, Magician, Necromancer, Wizard Hybrid - Bard, Beastlord, Paladin, Ranger, Shadowknight. We're doing something pretty similar EXCEPT(dun dun dun) the major twist. Chaos and Balance type. Chaos Faction; Tank - Warlord Healer - Mystic Melee - Assassin Caster - Rune Caster Hybrid - Defiler Balance Faction; Tank - Templar Healer - Priest Melee - Samurai Caster - Arcanist Hybrid - Hex-blade Each classes will have their own set of abilities, and gear. We've added another little twist in there because we're only using 10 out of the 16 classes we figured we'd add another little feature to further increase their power and potential. Take this how you will, you'll see the meaning in game. We'll update this post when we've gotten a few things tested. All of our information (new and old) will be up on our webpage located >HERE< |

Hey folks, I don't post much lol as I'm sure you've all noticed, but I'm excited to announce that we will be releasing a dual class system with an expansion.
We are doing the dual class as an expansion to get you into Uthra quicker, rather than wasting time. :) |
We've added a 'Talk to the DEV's' thing we figured if people wanted to know what we're doing, or how far we are on progression, you could join us, and talk to us about the server and what we're doing with it. It's quicker and easier then coming here and posting for us, below is the information.
Uthra's Gaming (TeamSpeak Server) -- Used for Everquest, World of Warcraft, League of Legends, and well. All other gaming things. Server -- 209.247.83.121:9366 PW - None set (yet). Nerdgasm of corse is who I am, Psepheryx is in there a bit too... So if you ever wanted to know what we're doing, or when we get it in beta, if you wanted to report bugs quicker, join up and say hello... ~~Nerdgasm ~~~~Server Information~~~~ We've perfected the classes we wanted to do, had a snag with a disc that was causing server crash repeatedly. We've done some updates and upgrades, we had a huge problem that we've resolved and have now rectified. DEV is back in swing for Uthra. We're doing spells now. A updated list of things that are done(spell wise and update wise), is located on our website. under our Change Log as well as our forums. There is a posted - 'TO DO' list as well, so you can see about where we're at as far as progression goes. We apologize for the delay this has caused and for BETA testers we will be offering some kind of reward to show we care. Thank you. |

BEFORE READING! We've changed our forums, they are WAY better now. The weebly ones were killing me so we made it pro.boards a little registration is required, but whatever, won't kill you. =P.
~~UPDATED FORUMS HERE~~ DEV Nightmare can never figure out if a spell is good enough or not... So, we've done the next best thing. Instead of having 8 different spells doing the same thing but one a little better then the other, we're naming spells to have RANKS Next to them (Thank you Jahar). An example; Rebuke I -- Adds 500 Hate Rebuke II -- Adds 700 Hate Rebuke III -- Adds 900 Hate So on and so fourth. Spells will drop in zones, as you may have figured by now. So now the question is, with spells being done this way, will this server really start you at at level 50? Or not. This is being debated on and there will be a place to voice your opinion either here or on our forums. The reason it's up for discussion instead of staying it way it was, doing spells this way opens a LOT of advancement and makes things a ton easier, example; You could be in a zone leveling, you hit level 10 and go to the next zone, the first mob drops; 'Spell Token 1-10' you're thinking 'hmm, now I don't have to go back and farm those spells I was missing!' and BAM 1-10 is learned once you turn it in, same thing goes for the next zone and the zone after. It would stop at 50 where they would turn into Tier spells, and you would have to earn the spell scrolls... Anyway, that's still being talked about, but not until after beta. Beta everyone will be 50 and farming gear in Tier//Normal zones. (Since it's Z1, Z2 and T1 on Beta open). Everyone will know after all of the content has been tested what the final decision will be. =). We aren't *PLANNING* on a char wipe after beta? But if it happens, people will know before hand, and you WILL be granted some 'Oh look you helped us in beta' stuff. :P |
10-14-13 UPDATE
We would like to inform everyone that there we be an alpha test coming very, very soon. During alpha you will have access to the following. There are 2 different factions that you can choose from, however to start balancing we are releasing Destruction slightly early. The Destruction Hub Zone. All Destruction Classes. All zones up to Tier 1. All the spells up to Tier 1. All the gear up to Tier 1. Please note that we are testing mob difficulty and balancing classes. This is not a release version, nor a final piece. Please note as since this is alpha, we encourage you to try and break things and report any bugs or exploits you might find. Your help will be rewarded when the full version is released. There will be rewards for the alpha testers and rewards for the beta testers. However, they will not be the same. We will keep you informed to the start date of this Alpha Phase I. |
I would like to take this moment to introduce the spells for Rune-Caster. I will not be sharing what each spell does in terms of numbers. However, this is what I will share. Spells are broken into ranks. (I, II, III, etc.) Each rank will, of course, be better than the previous.
Rune-Caster Spells Writ of Cold -Effect 1: Direct Damage Scribe’s Sparks -Effect 1: Spell Damage Distracting Words -Effect 1: Area of Effect Writ of Hope -Effect 1: HP Buff -Effect 2: Mana Buff Fiery Ridicule -Effect 1: Direct Damage -Effect 2: Damage over Time Frozen Epilogue -Effect 1: Snare Word of Exaltation -Effect 1: Intelligence Buff All spells are done. Couple things to drop by here;
We are ATTEMPTING to make this friendly to those titanium users, about 98% of the spells WILL work for titanium, some illusions may not, and as far as I know, all of the zones are titanium friendly so far. I do know that Uthra's zone IS NOT titanium friendly. We may branch off and make a titanium friendly Uthra. This is up for discussion, still. We still have our votes on the forums for if you want to stay at level 50 or not AFTER Beta. Please visit our forums and vote, or you can wait till you play Alpha and see how things go. Below is how we are going to do it; Alpha P.1 - Will be finished once we get Destruction items and spells finished. - ~85% done. Alpha P.2 - Will be finished once Balance zones get balanced (no pun intended) and spells done. - ~45% done. Beta - Beta will consist of up to Tier 1 with Epic 1.0 progression open, as well as some World Bosses, set up COMPLETELY custom PER developer. (Meaning, one boss may be almost impossible to beat, while the other one could be to easy...) - ~20% done. LIVE - When the server is LIVE it will be 7 tiers of progression with other zones to progress in, multiple world bosses, Epic 1.0 - Epic 2.0, and Uthra. ~5% done. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ All of the above information is found on our website, as well... We are planning a 'expansion' so to speak, once Uthra is downed as to not make it a server where you kill Uthra and that's everything you have to do, which we do not assume will be done quickly, as her abilities make her a VERY challenging boss. The ideas with the expansion will be realized when players get closer to Uthra on our website. I apologies for not posting before now, I had gotten accepted into Hearthstone Beta, and I wanted to see what it was like. It's fun. But I think EQEMU Developing will take priority for now. =). |

We are awaiting one of our Developers (silly Psepheryx) to wake up and finish scripts, and then a quick run through. I expect Alpha Phase I to begin no later then tomorrow morning. We have all items completed, all spells, and about 90% of the mobs completed.
We will make a follow up post on when it is opened. We do apologize for taking so long. Update 1; The scripts are completely done, items the same, spells the same. We have a couple VERY small things to do, then the server is going to be unlocked, and located near the top of the list. I will update you when it is live. :) Update 2; All of the REQUIRED files for our server has been updated. Click here to obtain custom files. Update 3; Jahar and I are going through and testing everything. So far, it appears Mystic is having the most problem soloing... We're changing the spells around now, so if you download the spell file NOW you will have to re-download them. Update 4; Defiler OP, enough said. :P Gave the nerf stick HARD to Defilers. Like, their pet was able to solo everything. No longer possible. Haha.. Server going to be open after we're finished with this zone, as unless you 6 box. It's going to take a while soloing all of it. =). |

We would like to welcome everyone to Uthra's Progression Server. At this time. We are open for Alpha Phase I! This Alpha has an upexpected duration. At this time you are able to do the following. -You are able to 6 box currently. (This could change in the future.) -Achieve R. I and R. II spells. -Traverse Zone 1. -Attempt (Yes, attempt.) all bosses. -Achieve all gear through Zone 1. -We are only using Visable slot items for Alpha. When Beta is opened, all Visable and Non-Visable slots will be introduced. A couple notes before you get started with us. This is not meant to be a solo server. While you may be able to solo "trash" mobs. Do not expect to be able to kill everything by yourself, unless you are boxing. During this Alpha Phase you are asked to report any bugs/exploits with /guidehelp that we may have overlooked. During testing we ran into some problems with later zones, after they are fixed they will be released. (Could happen at any moment.) For Alpha testing a few things have been raised and timers reduced to allow quicker kills, and progression through the zones, once we are out of Alpha the rest rate will go down, and have a very small 'kick-in' time before it activates. PLEASE REMEMBER TO GRAB OUR CUSTOM FILES FROM THE WEBSITE OR YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ENJOY THE SERVER TO IT'S FULLEST EXTENT. THANK YOU AND HAVE FUN! ------------------ A Note from the head Developer - Everthing in zone 1 has been tested by every class. While some excel, and others lack. Once you've obtained a full set of gear, and all spells possible, it is highly possible to solo(meaning ONE CHARACTER NOT TWO) the first mini-boss which will allow a chance at R. II spells. This server as stated above is NOT meant to be soloed. If you want to 6 box, be my guest, just know, that's 6 toons to gear and get spells for. |

You do not have to six box. I played through as a couple different classes and did just fine.
Though, I can say if I did 6 box. I'd be able to clear everything, no problem. Heck, I bet I could do it with 3 boxes. In-fact I two boxed most the stuff. The last boss of the zone I couldn't sadly. To much hectic stuff going on, it's a bit of a struggle, but player database will help us even out, and work out kinks that are in the server. As with every server launch, there are bound to be mob to high hit-points, to high damage, or whatever. Alpha//Beta people will be rewarded for trying the server, as per usual. |
Cannot progress past the Hub zone, Currently the general ports you, But it kicks you to Arena instead of Temple of Marr, If you die you go back to the orignal load in zone " No soul binder in destruction hub" and no gate item to get back to hub.

There is a gate item back to the hub, I merely forgot to put it on the vendor, that was completely my bad, and I do apologize. Far as the soul binder, that skipped my mind as well. Thank you for your quick feedback, I will update it as soon as possible, again I apologize.
As well, it appears I have the zone locked to level 51. I thought that was removed, and that was completely my bad, yet again. This will be fixed in a matter of minutes. Terribly sorry, was working hard on the server last night, forgot the little things. |

Soul Binder is up.
Zones are unlocked. Gate item added. Base Movement speed inside Shadow Spine has been raised from normal to x2 the speed, as well. 'Safe spot' has been updated to in front of Valdis. Server has been unlocked and restarted. Bugs are fixed, sorry once again. Again, I'm terribly sorry, I was so excited to get it running last night, that with my excitement, I had forgotten a couple of essential things. xD Update; I forgot. I made it 15 zones instead of 5 too... Lol. |
