cant login to eq

So i tried logging in just now and its telling me the password is incorrect. ive been using the same password my whole time here and ive never had a problem. the username is correct too, caps is off, everything is correct and its telling me the password is wrong.

i went to the eqemu website and changed my loginserver account password. and i try to login and it still tells me its wrong. what is going on? i tried on a different computer and no luck

Akkadius 03-23-2014 12:03 AM

Did you change your hosts.txt file to

Code:

[LoginServer]
Host=login.eqemulator.net:5998

?

jellogecko2 03-23-2014 12:09 AM

i made the change recommended and it wont work, just stays on logging into server please wait....

Kingly_Krab 03-23-2014 12:10 AM

I changed mine to this, and it worked:
Code:

[LoginServer]
Host=login.eqemulator.net:5999

This worked for me, but it would appear my server, THF, has not synced with the new login server as it is not listed in the server list yet. When do these sync's usually take place?

AdrianD 03-23-2014 02:08 AM

I'm having the same issue. I can't get past the login screen. I've changed my password and verified my eqhost file. "Host=login.eqemulator.net:5998" Nothing changed in this file and I tried the other options suggested to no avail. "A connection to the server could not be reached..."

What could be happening?

Change it to 5999 if you are SoD/HoT/Underfoot

AdrianD 03-23-2014 03:23 AM

Thank you but, that didn't work.

If you are getting Invalid Password errors trying to log in, please make sure your password is atleast 8 characters long. If it is not, you need to change it on the website.
Is your p/w long enough?

AdrianD 03-23-2014 03:45 AM

Yessir, changed it to 8+ characters.

Phaelon812 03-23-2014 08:35 AM

I have the exact same problem as AdranD

royz 03-23-2014 08:53 AM

I cannot login on any of my accounts and when it gets to server select it only shows about 12 servers on there. I'm guessing this would be the server not syncing with the new update, and not an issue on my end? Weird thing I still have one account logged in, so I know server is up. But Im guessing thats why 75% or more of servers on the eqemu site show down.

Phaelon812 03-23-2014 09:49 AM

Just when I find a white server I was enjoying, this happens..lol
oh well

AdrianD 03-23-2014 10:17 AM

@ royz

Yeah, whatever it is this fact

only shows about 12 servers
is reassurring on my end. The server version is 'U' and I know nothing about it. I just have to wait is all.

drspaceman 03-23-2014 10:23 AM

Hey guys:

I'm new to EQE and P99. When I go to register for the login server here: http://www.eqemulator.org/forums/pro...do=loginserver

I get a blank screen. Happens on two PCs/Macs. is this a known issue?

Cassieze 03-23-2014 10:29 AM

I used this one for my underfoot and it seemed to work fine. 5999 and 5998 didnt work without the 2 after login for me
Code:

[LoginServer]
Host=login2.eqemulator.net:5998

Phaelon812 03-23-2014 10:37 AM

login
login2
5999
5998

nothing seems to work for my HoT client

Same issue with me as well. I've tried changing the port, and changing the password multiple times. I am able to log onto the website with my password but not in game - keeps saying invalid password

Phaelon812 03-23-2014 12:39 PM

I wonder if this is being looked into by the admins today

Phaelon812 03-23-2014 05:22 PM

any solution yet?

thisguy210 03-23-2014 06:13 PM

I don't think so yet, i have recently came into the same problem.

Joshua1231 03-23-2014 06:38 PM

Cannot Find Server

I am able to log in to the server select screen but PEQTGC does not show up. Any idea why?

Also, I tried clicking on P99 and select join, but it would just sit at a black screen . . . .

Yes, I have made the EQHost change and my PW is over 8 characters.

Shirodan 03-23-2014 07:32 PM

I'm unable to get past the login screen with any of the suggestions posted in this thread so far on my HoT client.

There is no EQEmu compatible HoT client.

If it all worked before, it should work fine now as long as all the numbers are correct. I still cannot get past the login screen, just says Cannot Connect.

Phaelon812 03-24-2014 10:46 AM

Update
This morning tried login2 and it worked. I guess it was a matter of waiting long enough for sync.

Epochal 03-27-2014 11:57 PM

My fix was a fresh install of titanium and changed the eqhost to the new and it worked like a charm, was trying to change the existing and it wouldnt take for some reason
