EQEMu 3.12 Information
 

1. DO NOT USE eqfix.zip
2. Patch EQ to EQLive Version
3. Do not use eqfix.zip
4. If you cannot connect to Server or you go LD on char create or enter world here are a few reasons why..

a) your connection to server sucks
b) server isn't 3.12
c) server connection sucks
d) your stupid and didn't read the above stuff i wrote

Sorry i'm NooB here but what if:

1. I do NOT use eqfix.zip
2. I have Patched My EQ version today
3. I DO NOT USE eqfix.zip
4. I STILL GOT LD when loging in world but....

a) I host the server on the same computer i log
b) Server is 3.12
c) I host server and client on same computer
d) I'm noob (so i'm stupid:) but i read every thing and still LD when login in.

But i certainly miss something......

I copied new spells_en.txt in eqemu folder
minilogin, world and boot5zones works just fine

Verify you can log into someone elses server first (I recommend Halls of Paranor, it ROCKS)

If you can't log in there, then you have a problem with you Everquest install, and you need to fix that first, then try and fix the emulator you have running on your local machine.

Don't forget to change the datarate.txt to 10.0!

Just a suggestion.

Alot of people have done everything listed on this list, and everything posted in the forum, yet still get disconnected at the character creation screen...

yep, the day after 3.12 was released there was a new eq patch, therefore following step two of the above info results in an eq version that wont even unpatch to be compatible with server version 3.11

If you follow STEP TWO of the above instructions and you wont be playing free eq for a while, i patched 3 hours after the new eq patch was released, (oops) guess i'm either stupid or didnt read the manual.

I just wish most people here wouldn't automatically assume that every possible problem is already handled. Just because your server isnt working doesnt mean:

a) your retarded
b) your computer sucks
c) your a flipper baby
d) you didnt read the manual
or even e) you just like harassing people

its kind of offensive actually

If 3.11 was working for you, use that. But DONT patch to the newest version of EQ. You'll be stuck right where i am, waiting for a new server version.

The day 3.12 came out I patched, tried it but it didnt work..
I figured the server hasnt been updated yet. So I re-patch with 3.11 and it worked fine again.

It does if you had a half of brain and noticed on the left [0.3.11] [0.3.12]

I notice Image's server i version 0.3.1-DR1, few things, why isn't 3.13 released to public........why is there no release notes telling what is new.......... and what is DR1, if anyone can answer any of these things......... that would be great, thanks

The 0.3.13-DR1 from my understanding, is not available to just anyone. Plus, DR stands short for Developers Release, and when it is out of DR stages, it could be higher then the said number, or the same. I don't understand why they don't release a developers source code to at least, play around with to get ideas what is going on, going to happen, what will be next, etc..

When these guys release, they are releasing 'stable' versions.

If you want to have access to newer code, why not volunteer to help develop...

wish i could just enjoy what we already have, but eq patched the day after 3.12 was released, i followed the instructions and cant play on ANYONES server now so, i too am waiting for next patch. BTW I only bitch when the development crew constantly insult us and assume that every problem is the users fault, and that means that they must be stupid. I mean, thats something to bitch about right? being verbally abused by your friendly eq server emulator developer? pretty sad. keep up the good work though guys, i will just have to wait with the rest of the stupid people.

I don't see how you could not get the client to connect. Everyone is playing. There are new servers up and even a server running the next version 3.13. The latest Verant client patch does not stop your ability to connect.

Can you give any details as to what you have done?

its very simple, eq patched the DAY after the latest server release

i didnt setup in time, therefore i am now patched too far to unpatch. if you want to see what my problem is, just patch eq to current. you wont be playing either. you cant unpatch it now.

I am patched to current just like everyone else. It works fine. My server version is 3.12, client is 11-12 something. Connects well. Sometimes it does drop you with 1017 error but not every time.
