4.0 DB TROUBLE!!! VERY SERIOUS!!!
Ok im new to all this, I used to play awhile back (I used to run The Necropolis, I still do, but Im having a problem) I got everything the way I want it to be except, There are no items or spawns in the database that came with the emu I downloaded!!! (4.0) where can I get a db that has the majority of the spawns/items loaded??? Plz someone help!

You should start with the 0.3.13 database, then add in the DB-Addon from 0.3.13. After that use the dbupdate.sql that is included in 0.4.0 and you'll be ready for fun. You should also do the 'Cleaned spawn database' thing that is listed on the eqemu.net main page.

I have a pretty much fully featured database I can send you with all the items and spawn groups - but no spawn locations (FqAdmin Spawns/Spawns menu is empty). It's just over 2mb if you want it.
Let me know if you want email or if I should post to my rather lousy ftp site. Pneu |
Ill try the 0.1.3.03 whatever thing first, if that dosen't suit my needs ill let you know :-)

Ok the db thing didn't work, still don't have any items, send me the db at lpaul@socal.rr.com (directed to the guy with the complete db) K, dont ask

I'm going to hold on sending you the db for tonight, i'm not sure what's wrong but I do not seem to be able to add new spawns so I think my DB is missing a field of data, i'll work out whats wrong and send it to you then.

Gave up trying to fix my db tonight and deleted it. I will start again fresh on Friday and see if I get it right this time, alas I think we both came to EqEmu at a bad moment because we seem to be using a multiple patched database from a previous release :/ Just a matter of working out which db to use and what patches in what order.... trial and error....
Unless anyone else is willing to post a working .sql or email it ? EDIT: Oh look - the order to do things is above! :) Working on it... Will send you when done (another late night inc) Pneu thane@globalnet.co.uk |
Fully spawned DB emailed to you, sorry the attachment is 3mb :/

Given that a few are asking for this and undoubtedly more will I am posting it to an ftp location. This is a UK server and I have limited bandwidth but it is 24/7 and free :)
www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~thane/EqEmuSql.zip I noticed tonight that the quests section isn't working as intended, however I understand the quest engine is about to be changed so I would not worry too much about that. This file will be deleted from my ftp site upon the next EqEmu release. Pneu[/url] |
now when I download your zip file.. I can install 0.4.0 emu create eq db and use source yourdb.in.zip.file ?
I can run 0.31 emu and 0.4 emu too but I never can update main db with addons or world data.. whenever I try to update I get many errors in mysql :(( now I try install 0.4.0 ..run new installation of mysql create database eq; source yournameofsqldb; and then I have items and monsters ?? and what about shopkeepers and with shop recipe ? btw > can you upgrade default 0.4.0 db with worlddata 1.0 , then dump to 1 big file and upload it to web ? worlddata is best database with spawns/items/monsters/shopkeepers.. please.. |

DB file
I just finished setting up the EQEmu program and everything works fine apparently, I can login to the loginserver and i'm able to see all the other servers including my own. But when I create a char on my own server and then it begins to load the starting zone, it quits and the "DOS window" that runs the world.exe gives me an indication of the problem. Here it is:
Sending list of guilds Unknown opcode: 0x3541 size:2056 Unknown opcode: 0x3941 size:2056 Error: InflatePacket: inflate<> returned -3 |
Welcome to EQEmu. This is an old thread about an older version and has little to do with what you asked. This would also be more apropriate in the support forum.
Since this is the worldbuilder forum, I'll help out with the DB portion. Look in this forum for the secong message down "Sticky: EQEMu Database Releases", it is stuck to the top for a reason. There is a LOT of information in the forums, you should at least glance thru the sticky messages, and try a search or two before posting a question that might have already been asked. |
