coke all the way, pepsi is a rip off of coke, coke made a new coke and peeps didnt like and wanted "classic" coke back so they did, 15 years later pepsi released a slighty different version of same thing and got better sales. thats also how the classic part of coke came around if anyone cares

as far as origonal pepsi and coke goes, Coke is better, might I remind you all that when coke was first made it had real "coke" in it. which is how it got popular because it got people high from drinking it. then pepsi comes along quite a few years later, takes the coke product, adds more sugar, more syrup, and less carb water. so all the sweet toothed people out there say HELL YEAH. the truth is finders keepers, and pepsi is just an immitation of coke. but as far as MOUNTAIN DEW FREAKS GOES!!! MOUNTAIN DEW IS THE ULTIMATE DRINK!!! NO WATER!! NO MILK!!! DO THE DEW MAN!!! YEAH!!!

I'd like to reply to few of these posts...

First of all, yellow-5, which was rumored to lower sperm count, doesn't do anything more than, say, yellow-1 or yellow-6.

Secondly, while I respect Pepsi for being able to generate so many sales and surpassing Coke in such a short period of time, my loyalty still lies with the original Coke. Why? It tastes better.

Third and last, I personally think that the only reason Pepsi gained such popularity is because they appealed to members of Pop Culture. Look at recent Pepsi ads - with Beyonce and whatever else. Although for the most part they are fairly tasteless and dull to view, it appeals immensely to people who are immersed in Pop/Hip-Hop culture. However, while Coke sticks to more traditional advertising, with equal amounts of sex appeal and "feel-good" (those polar bears and Santy Claus, anyone?) ads, no one gives a damn anymore. When was the last time you saw a Coke commercial? Seems like ages to me.

Anyone ever seen the Dr.Pepper ads? Those are just hilarious. A bunch of celebs come out and tell you to drink Dr.Pepper to be an individual. :lol:

Pepsi BLOWS! Coke isn't that great either, but it's ok (even though it's commonly used to DEGREASE engines, it can disolve metal if left submurged, and it has to be transported as a "hazardous material"). :wink:

Sad thing is, TAB was still being sold where I live (Arkansas) for over 5 years after they were forced to stop making it.

Pepsi doesnt have that strong taste like coke does. Pepsi to me is to soft of a taste.

Tab is that nasty "I don't cause cancer anymore! Thanks saccharine!" crap. Ugh... I associate TAB with my trip to Thailand when I was 9. I remember thinking "It's so disgusting that it must be from here!" To my dismay, I was wrong.
