Zone crash issue on fresh install
 
Looking to see if anyone has had similar issues, but here's my tale of woe.

I ran the installer package on a clean/fully updated VM of Win10, and setup went as expected without issue. I did this today, so the binaries and DB is as of 5/20.

After install I went through the config steps for the login server (running my own locally) and main emu config. Using the RoF2 client, I was able to connect , create a character, grant it GM rights, and away we go.

The issue I ran into is zoning into Lavastorm just crashes the zone, and I'm not sure why. Here's the debug log, but I'm not quite experienced enough to make heads or tails of it:

I can't say this is the only zone with the issue, but it's the only one I've found so far.

To exclude any sort of user error, I've done the re-install a second time on a clean VM, with the same result. I've also tried with the Titanium and SoF clients instead, both with the same result.

Any thoughts?

On my install from yesterday (but with database and player tables backups reinstalled) I have found three zones which will not load on entry. Lavastorm is one of them, the other two are Butcherblock and Lesser Faydark.

I have no idea how to fix it or what could be the matter.

Looks like this is an issue related to Strawberry Perl; the team is looking into it and will get back when we have an update

Update, we have a member of the team who has been looking into this and it hasn't exactly been straightforward. You can try downloading the latest binaries by running the update batch file in your server folder in the meantime

I'll let you know when I have more

The issue has been identified and a fix will be going in tonight; once I have validated this I will post back

This should be taken care of now; you just need to download the latest binaries in the eqemu_server.pl menu and you should be good to go

Zone still crashing with fresh install
 
I'm still getting this error with latest source code when zoning into multiple zones:

Works now, had a issue with the database merchantlist was crashing all zones with merchants.
