#goto and #summon limitation

Hi,

I'm running my own server. It's for me and my friends.

Here's something I noticed.

I can /tar anything in the zone (I use macroquest as a GM for getting around)

But #goto and #summon seem to be limited by some sort of range issue.

is this a known limitation, did I miss it in the wiki somewhere?

Thanks.

Laxa

It's part of the hacker check in the DB - many of the checks are set by range, and that's what causing your issues. You can look in the hackers table of the database for a bit more detail.

Also - with #gm on, those range checks are bypassed.

thank you burningsoul

I looked at that table sure enough there was my GM account doing all sorts of things.

Is this the warp detector that's catching the targetting beyond the clip plane?

Is there any easy way to turn off this limitation even when I don't have #gm enabled?

Thanks again.

Increase the clipping plane

Thank you Caryatis.

That unfortunately did not help.

Even with GM on. Sitting in the corner of Fearplane. I cannot summon Cazic thule's pet (for example)

Any other thoughts? I very much appreciate the guidance.

What is the status number on the account?

Changing the clip plane settings in the zone table may be what Cary is referring to. Setting the Zone:EnableMQDetectors under rules_values to false let me target yelinak and tormax from zone in, since you're running a local server shouldn't be a problem with hackers anyway.
