Live compatible LS w/crypto
 

The latest version of the live compatible loginserver is now up and running on newlogin1.eqemulator.net on port 5994 (both clients and servers).

I broke the loginserver crypto earlier this week, so with this one you will no longer need to use the authoriztion reset method to be able to log in. It will descrypt your username/passwd from the stream and look it up like it did before.

One caveat: We had changed the LS->world hand off in 5.8DR-1 to eliminate the random account bug. So, the current release of 5.8DR-1 that people are using will not correctly hand off the client from LS->world. You'll need to wait for the next CVS push and use that to be able to talk to the latest LS. If your changelog.txt has 09/17/2004 entry from me, then you have the right stuff.

just updated my server to use it. goes on/off alot but works very nice!(although peeps can still login when the server is locked =\ ) thanks alot =D

Both should be fixed now.

The on/off thing was a bug in my timing out non-responsive world servers (i.e. dead servers).

Locked servers should really be locked now.

still a small problem if anyone intrested in knowing about it im still haveing problems with after char creation it just crashing back to server selection screen if anyone could give me a idea whats wrong it would be much appeciated thanks :)

I can log in now but I can't see any servers to log into. Yesterday I could see one locked server but for the last 24 hours or so I havent seen any.
