calling plugin.pl from quest.lua
 

I have been reading forums and the lua documentation, to see if there is a way to call a plugin.pl from a .lua quest. I have not found a definitive answer. I am looking at trying .lua encounters to set a flag that could prompt the plugin. I am also looking at rewriting the .lua to .pl, any advice would be helpful.
