this makes me INCREDIBLY stupid to ask, but i feel i have to ask it. As i have NO clue where to find the eqghost files to replace the old ones. I know i'll get flamed for this.....but can someone pls help me?

it seems noone is up at this hour.....perhaps i'll just try to figure it out on my own for awhile and if i can't i guess i'll just come back and try again later.... |

Easy to do. Make a new .txt file. Copy and paste this information into it and save it in your EverQuest folder as eqhost.txt and overwrite the old one:
[Registration Servers] { "eqlogin1.eqemulator.net:5997" } [Login Servers] { "eqlogin1.eqemulator.net:5997" } |
Maybe there should be a big red flashing button for this particular type fo question on the homepage....perhaps the 'Guides' link is kinda hard to pick out.

im working on a program that will do all this for the n00bs =)

hmm, instead of working on a program for it, ask the good people at EQW if it would be alright for you to change a bit of their code for EQW to add in a EQEMU check box, when checked it loads up the eqemu host.txt file, when not checked it loads up regular eqhost.txt it would be easy enough. I dont see a big reason for them to say no, so i think its worth a shot to ask them.
