Trouble logging in to 4.4 even with Dec 5 patch

As far as i know i have the right files EQgame.exe is dated dec5 2002.

But when I login to port 5999 (the 4.4 server list if i read correctly) it just tells me incorrect version.

Something wrong or should I just dump it all and go to 5.0 :)

Dump it. 5.0 is coming along very nicely.
