please help! need some quick questions anwsered!
 

just did a fresh install of just the original eq cd, no expansions just plan old world EQ. now if i want to use just log in and play other server's and not run my own are these the steps i take?

1. make account/pass for this board ( check )

??2. patch everquest to latest version getting all expansion files??

or dont patch and just change eqhost file to required eqemu login servers

also if i patch to latest version do i need to use the EQemupatcher to unpatch some of the files from patching eqlive that prevent me from using the login?

i know these are newbie guestions but there are 2-3 step by step guides on here that are confusing me.
