Everyone that is still using www.eqemu.net please update your links to point to http://www.eqemulator.net or http://www.everquestserver.com. The old domain will not forward you to the correct server once the new information hits the dns servers.

What's that domain being used for now?

Sence EQEmu.com has changed to EverQuestServer.com,
will the name of the emu stay eqemu or will it be called EverQuestServer?

I mean i know this is a dumb question, but i am just wondering....

Name likely won't change because it's plastered nearly everywhere.

I am curious though - how did this project receive its capitalization? Seems odd: "EQEMu"

Hogie explained it to me a long time ago, it was a long story and i cant rember it for the life of me.

I type EQEMu a lot when not meaning to, finger just doesn't let off the shift key at the right time ~.~

Although I do not know who Hogie is, I have heard stories about incidents that occured...

It suprises me that the Dev team used his domain as long as they have, seems it would have been uncomfortable... :?

Before anyone misconcieves anything, Hogie is not an enemy to the project team. Hogie did alot for the project and made his contributions, and decided to leave the team. As the project was centralized around his servers, there are still alot of things that he owns, such as that domain.

when you get to the search page just, type in the 2 box from the top Hogie and it will give you alot of his post so you can see what kinda of stuff he did ...

If you guys want the domain, take it (along with .com). I had about it on here, and it was deleted. You can find me on irc.rizon.net if you do want them (Free of charge since the donations did pay for them).
