PLANESHIFT is a free MMORPG GAME that aims to rival or be as good as EQ is, with out all the monthly fees ofcourse, this is a open source projects so all your pro coders, world builder, beta testers, 3d artist, sound people or anyone interested can u guys come in and gave as a hand in coding planeshift, building , making textures models or test code !!

Did they come out with crystal blue yet?

not only does it seem they are trying to build a world based on the dynamics of the eqlive world, it seems (based on the "Kerran" looking creature) that they're trying to copy it very closely = already a burn-out style game. Neat idea, and wonderful that it's free.. but geez man.. be original :lol:

Yeah, because EQ created the notion of catpeople. ~.~

They recently passed 100,000 users, not bad for an alpha stage game. I'd played this awhile back in molecular blue stage (which it seems to still be), can't wait to see the next release, promised before the end of the year, especially if it will have more systems added like combat etc. to test out.

I've been checking in on Planeshift every few moths to watch how it's comming along. So far though it's no where near ready to spend any time on.
