Moving Horses + Spawning ready to attack mobs

Ive noticed that my horses dont move when casted..they can rotate but will not go forward or backward..Also when spawning a mob the mob the mob is indiff and will not attack players..How cna i spawn a mob that is going to be ready to attack(KoS)..

Easiest way to spawn a mob thats KOS to everyone is to, make the NPC in the DB, edit its faction so its KOS. edit the Agro rainge so its zone wide, then just spawn that mob when you want to.

There is no walk through for DB editing just take a look at it and tinker around you will get the hang of it eventualy..(Back up your DB often wile learning)

?

"make the NPC in the DB, edit its faction so its KOS. edit the Agro rainge so its zone wide"

Is that done whilst in game using commands or do i have to edit manually in notepad a file sumwhere??

You have to Edit the DB using one of the many ways to Edit it, Read in the world building forum. Use the search feture, 99% of questions people have can be answered by doing a simple search.

sorry

Tatung I know your pain however I do not beleive the mounts have been adressed yet. As I have come to understand it the developers are working on heavier priorities. (I think the mounts are a hard coded issue) Don't quote me though lol im just feeling my way around too.

About DB editing for 5.0 as of yet eqadmin is not 5.0 compatible
We will have to wait for that to change or its messy notepad work with huge files. (mysql CC is a gui that will help but its limited)

(thank the tcsmyworld team for braving the notepad and HUGE files  )

myself im probably going to leave the dirtywork to tcsmyworld until the new eqadmin comes out for 5.0

Good luck with you eqemu experiance its a learning curve I've found but its fun to tinker with and will teach you alot. :D

P.S. if you go the notepad aproach you may want to get a copy editpad lite. A little more solid than notepad with very welcome features. I forgot whare i downloaded it from you will have to scrounge the google search pages.

Hope this helped somewhat anyway.

Happy Thanksgiving

Thnx =D

Was great help..I know understand alot about how the DB's work as iam using the Mysql CC..Great program..whilst looking aorund i found a table named srat_Zones...ive did a bit of editing with it and about to test it out...

Also in game i #spawn a mob and thne gave it loot and such and then i did #npcspawn add..it says it was added to the DB...once in Mysql CC i whent to the table NPC_type and could now find my new mobs?? are they in another table??(i need to edit the lvl class and HP of the mob as i find it easyer to edit in the DB rather than in game...

If you use #spawn to create the spawn, you have to do a #npcspawn create before the #npcspawn add.

As for KoS to everyone, we have a faction we created just for that called... "KoS for All" :-)

glad it helped

About you question with the CC I have been scouring it for a week looking for that very info.

Somthing intresting however and it may help if you. Go to the spawngroup table and scroll down to whare the group names are catorgorised by zone your spawn should be there for instance my test spawn read
id name
190510 Steamfont-Fuzmut00

Now you know an ID to your spawn at least :)

But how to change its HP in the database im at a loss for.

Another intresting note eqadmin 4.7 seems to be able to read some parts of the 5.0 database im not sure if it can be used for your purpuses or not youll have to try it.

make sure if you do you have minilogin running (hehe took me a while to figure that one out)

and click through all the error messeges and you should be able to acess you eq database but im not sure as to the functionality.

I'm at the end of my knowledge time to turn back

Good luck and if anyone has anything to add please do

Happy Thanks giving

*********Doh edited ***skorpius beat me to the punch while i was typing...you may disreguard my post here if his helps more  ********** and thnankes scorpious that helps me too i always screwed that up**************************
