RPC virus?
 

I have been experiencing a fatal shutdown consistantly since starting with the EQEMU project.. It seems that i am the victum of a virus of sorts. tho i cant find it.. here is what it does

i get a svchost service running at 100%utilization. Then shortly there after i receive a notice that i have 60 seconds to save my work..

I cant close this popup nore stop its progress.. My pc will shut down in 60 seconds. I am wondering if anyof you have seen this and have a possible solultion..

This is a well documented Worm. It made the rounds a couple months ago. Do you not have any AV sorftware? Do you not update windows?

MS Blaster worm. Search the microsoft updates for the cure. I applied it to a woman's computer last Thursday at work.

also i have Norton but it didnt catch it..

You should be visiting windowsupdate at elast every few weeks. There was patch for the vulnerability that this worm expoits at least a month before the worm reared it's head. If you keep up to date on your patchs you're life will be much easier.
