Does it give you an error regarding invalid station name?

If so then you're not getting to the emu login server. That's an SOE error. So your host file is wrong or you're running the pather so it's being replaced.

i'm having the same problem and i followed the same steps as the person that started this thread. but i also added the "patchme" thing on the properties on the shortcut/

the 1001 error says Error logging on to the everquest server, please try again later.

it's the same error you get playing EQlive when they are doing a patch and aren't letting anyone on.

please post any solutions to this problem, been searching forums like everyone says but i still can't find answers
