This is a warning to everyone that patches and then wonders why stuff wont work.

DO NOT PATCH ON DECEMBER 16th 2003!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a BIG patch for EQlive and will probly break EQEMU. We wont realy know till that day. But thought i would give you 9 days notice NOT to patch.

Ahh...going on the pre-emptive are we? :D

Well...at least it saves you about 100 people asking why EQEmu doesn't work and saying that they 'must of patched and forgotten' 100 threads later.

Wanna bet? I'll put $100 down that says otherwise ;)

I only said 100, I didn't say anything about the other 1000 that are going to ask questions.

I wouldn't patch until you are specifically told it's ok to. Verant has been known to patch things early and break the emu. But, who reads warning anyway :) The forums have PLENTY of proof of people who don't heed these warnings.

There's going to have to be some means of installing fresh and updating up to a working version without going all the way through the Dec 16 patch. Mostly, emu servers will be on separate boxes where fresh wipes & installs will be frequent.

Any ideas?
