You Have Been Disconnected
Hello all, I'm getting the 10054 error with the message 'You Have Been Disconnected' upon entering the game on my server. Funny thing is that this message is overlaid with another message resulting in an illegible garble of 'You Have Been Disconnected'.
I'm running Windows XP Home Edition SP 1 I have a DSL connection (Westell modem in Bridged Ethernet mode). This is then connected to a DI-604 w/ ports 5667, 9000, and zone ports 7992-7999 open for both TCP and UDP. I'm using a default MTU on the server of 1492. I've tried compiling my own 0.5.2 DR1 and then tried using the precompiled Eqemu-0.5.1-win32 both running with a fresh source from Mw_051_052_alpha1. I'm able to log into other servers with no problems. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Boot5zones.bat ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- @echo off if NOT exist spells_en.txt goto NOSPELL start zone . kaltan.no_ip.com 7992 localhost start zone . kaltan.no_ip.com 7993 localhost start zone . kaltan.no_ip.com 7994 localhost start zone . kaltan.no_ip.com 7995 localhost start zone . kaltan.no_ip.com 7996 localhost start zone . kaltan.no_ip.com 7997 localhost start zone . kaltan.no_ip.com 7998 localhost start zone . kaltan.no_ip.com 7999 localhost exit cls :NOSPELL echo You did not copy the spells_en.txt from your everquest directory to this one. Oh my! Fixed?
None of this makes sense, but my server is working. I started researching the Received unknown opcode: 0x02d2 size:0 bytes error for the 20th time. Seems the Boot5zones.bat file and ip combinations were the key.
What I do NOT understand. :? Here is the combination that works - start zone . 172.18.222.113 7992 172.18.222.113 The IP addresses are my LAN IP addresses. Most of the documentation shows that the WAN address should be the first IP used. Also, from the World.exe window, it makes no sense at all that the following happens: =========================================== Client disconnected Removing client from ip:68.210.75.100 port:60338 302203 New client from ip: 68.210.75.100 port: 60341 Logged in: LS#38464: kaltan Telling client to continue session with: Spelunker =========================================== Why would I be removed upon connecting? Anyway, I spend hours and hours trying to get this to finally work... Hope that this documentation helps others. :D [Status] CURRENT_WORLD_VERSION:EQEMu 0.5.2 [Status] Loading variables..
