New Server
 

Am starting new server hopefully will start SATURDAY. This server will have spawns, loot, and redudency (worldserver's shouldn't take the server down ever). So far have SS spawned and nefarious is working on gfay. Will work on another soon. Anyway based off velious wars (but not named velious wars cause i'm pretty sure thats trademark of SONY), am looking for new name. Suggestions? Post here....
Basic server policy:
No vulger names
No begging for gm status (after server goes live)
No HACKING the server or the client. (exploiting pathing is fine).
No delibritley crashing zones etc...
First offense is warning then ban from server.

oh yes forgot to mention trying to start a big distributed server here with this thing anyone who would be interested with helping talk to me on irc (could esp use someone with t1 etc to run world). THERE will be NO VERANT CONTENT whatsoever on the server..... USING verant content will result on FIRST OFFENSE A BAN. We wish to avoid IP ISSUES and those causing them will be removed immediatley.

Let's see there is a whole gaggle of hackers, crackers, reverse engineers here, so this posting must have been made on some other board. I am dragging out my showeq now as I type this.

Out of curiosity... what is "Velious Wars"? I follow the storylines fairly closely, and havn't come across anything referred to as that.

... unless you mean the struggle between the Coldain Dwarves, the Storm Giants, and the Dragons?

well A i meant ban from server (yes i can do this based on account id gonna set up a ip table soonish.... Velious wars was my server but has been down a bit and gonna change name (can't use sony tm's now can we?) We have fully spawned ss gonna itemmize it this weekend and do another zone.

The term 'velious wars' IS used by verant to represent the good fight between the Coldain against the Storm giants of Kael and how the Coldain sealed off the giants into a frozen cavern(This story can be read in that little pamphlet that comes with the velious CD ;) ) They first supported the side of the coldain but verant later changed their support from Coldain to Neutral seeing as some Evil races decided to ally themselves with the Giants of Kael, and Verant does not like to fight with any of the 'evil' minorities(Farenheit 451?).Then later Verant officially sides with the Claws of Veeshan,making Skyshrine neither a good nor evil zone. Which is the same reason they get pissed off when people attempt to kill the Sleeper. As well as the same reason why some skyshrine guards are as uuber as the Inky guards in Nektulos Forest. Theres some quick EQ info for ya Yodason incase you decide to steal anymore copyrighted info.

erm thats why it is NOT velious wars anymore =p Im pretty sure tho that giants fight dragons in lots of naratives hence thats not copyrighted.
