Suggestion

Please, forgive us, poor not english speaking native people, for harrassing you with our posts written in french, spanish, german or whatever else... I try to avoid those posts, and even ask people to write in english when i can, but sometimes, its just not possible :? Foreign languages are far of being a priority in the french educationnal system, and i m sure you all guessed it yet :)

Well, my suggestion is to add a forum dedicated to people who can't write or read english correctly, no need to make 1 forum per language, just one would be enough i think, with the possibility to stick a few messages in it (translated guides for example, i can translate em if needed).

its obviously just an idea and i ll let boards admin discuss it, it only hides the fact that i don't want to be accused to speak in a language that the majority doesn't understand (my english is yet hard to understand so i can't imagine english people trying to undestand our french hehe, even more when its written by a few of us that don't respect the grammar and just write the sounds... :p)

L8rs all.

Good idea, it has not been needed tho, if you cant write english write it in your native language and someone here will help you.

well, its only an idea like that... if the board admins arent against the fact that some messages aren't written in english, that idea doesnt obviously have any interest :)

Or maby create the forum for other languages to make it easier for those people to find info they will understand and know they can post there.

I havent seen and of the Devs complain about posts in other languages, so at this point i am thinking of how this idea would make it easier for new useres who cant read english.

True, a french/spanish/german... translations of the guides would yet be a good start. I m receiving several mails per week from french people who arent able to decrypt them due to their inability to understand the terms, or hesitate, also because the board's approach isnt that easy if you don't fully understand what's written.

I assume it's a scary place to post when we have a tendency to be cruel to newbies, and people with poor english skills can look like newbies at first glance. I think a separate forum is a good idea.

Works great for me, I only know English, but with a little copy and paste I can understand any language. Sure it's not perfect due to rules of languages and such, but I can understand what they want or talking about.
Oh, and well, maybe not any language but quite a few.
