whats this all about?
 

Hello folks, I just stumbled across this site and I think I have died and gone to heaven. I have a couple of questions:

1) Is this a good way to get my account banned? It would appear that this is 3rd partry software and could be detected by Verant.

2) Is there a beginners guide anywhere that could explain how to set everything up? There seem to be so many different versions, I am not really sure where to start.

3) Are there servers up and running right now that I could log into and create a character of my own liking? How exactly should I do that?

1) No, you wont get banned.. Its not breaking any of their rules using it..

2)There is a readme that comes with it when you download it. It will answer most every question, these forums will answer the rest..

3)Yes, there are servers up and running. Read the same instructions (or find them on this site) I mentioned above and it will explain how to connect to a server, its very simple.

Awesome, what exactly should I download? I went through the setup for a client but when I try to run eqgame from my eq directory it tells me to run everquest.exe.

Get hold of a copy of eqw there is a link for this on the forums somewhere ... it will do all the fidley working out for u ... ther is a readme for it as well

Do I need to install EQW if I just want to login to an existing server as a client?

EQW is optional.. You have to modify your eqhost.txt file to point to eqlogin.eqemu.net , then run 'eqgame.exe patchme', not just eqgame
