EQEMU Error: World is Down
 

Alot of people seem to be posting this message today(12/23-12/24) and I must say I am one of them. The name of the topic says it all. I am running a EQ dir that was last patched Dec. 14th and any and all 5.1 and 5.2 servers give the same message. I tried my real EQ dir with latest patch (today) with a 5.3 DR2 server and same problem. Seems like the EQEMU login server isn't passing people off to the world servers or something... Can any Dev confirm/deny a problem on EMU side?

It was working fine earlier, the server is down/disconnected/froze/bugged. Whatever the case none of the servers off that root login will work. give them time to fix it they are more then likely sleeping or doing something important with family and friends for the holidays.

i downloaded the thing from the site, to zip into my folder, but still cant get in :(

Ok, this is what seems to be happening when people seem to attempt to run world.exe (Start up a server)

Error: LoginServer::Connect: 'TCPConnection::Connect<>: connect<> failed. Error:10061'

So it seems that worlds are able to connect and show on the login server but arnt able to connect back to the server.

When I arrived at my server this morning I had countless errors like this.

yeah thats what my TKN world tail is showing, the login server is giving it the finger when it tries to register

So the problem with connecting isnt the players or the servers per se, but rather the Emu login/ hosting servers?? Is anyone working on this or are we the only people who are idle on Christmas eve? :cry:

Its the login server, in case you havent noticed, none of them are expiring or updating player numbers, but nothing really i can do so im playing on live =)

i'm gonna just turn off the TKN farm since nothing going on, shame too since i just moved it back on the big pipe

Yes i am having that same problem with the error 10061 fail connection

use that like the emu thing on the server thing says....in eqhost.txt

I changed the eqhost file to the above and I still can't get past server select screen without World is Down error.

i used that one like scorp told me to use, I can get into servers, but there having zone boot problems, cause i was on a server that had 3 zones up, so yeah...
