Tracking Skill not working
Hello,
I've completed a 5.1 server using TCS MW_051_052_alpha1. I had to replace the Zone.exe with an updated version I found in the forums to get spells working. Now I find that tracking does not work on Ranger, Druid or Bard characters. Is the tracking function tied to the Zone.exe? Or is it, perhaps, a function of the database? It seems I had it working in one of my other server databases with the same TCS database version, so I'm inclined to think it's tied to the Zone.exe executable. I just did a search in the forums and it doesn't look like anyone has reported this issue. Any insight? Thanks, in advance. Arley |
Sorry, I should have clarified the "tracking doesn't work" in my previous post. I'm using a ranger to test this because he will have the "distance" tracking option.
The tracking window appears but it does not populate with mobs in the zone. I have not checked every zone, but the 20+ zones I have checked, common zones, have the same results. Thanks, Arley |
i have had this problem too (although i'm just playing on a server, so i'm not a GM). I noticed that when playing on semi-legit servers and setting the skill to 252, tracking works fine 8) . but when starting from scratch on a legit server, i get the same problem. there are no NPC/PC's that appear in the window that pops up, and there is no way for me to raise that skill's level (ie ranger GM).
EDIT: I have also noticed the same thing with taunt. in legit servers, i am unable to level the skill, but in semi-legit servers when i set the skill level to 252 it seemsl to work fine. |
