Spell Problems
 

Looks like everything is working ok on my server with the exception of some zoning issues. However, I can't cast any spells. For example, on my cleric, I memmed minor healing and courage. When I try to cast courage it says I need to go to town to get the necessary items about 5 times, then casts, then it says the spell is interrupted. Finally it says "I dont know that TargetType: 0xff" and repeats this message over and over until I zone again.

I'm using 5.3-DR3 and the latest databases as far as i can tell

Any help is appreciated

Do you have spells_us.txt in your folder

I have both spells_us and spells_en.txt (both are 2100kb) in the same folder as world.exe and zone.exe

Should they go elsewhere?

I'm also getting a zone bootup failed message on zone loading but it doesn't seem to be affecting anything - zones load just fine. In fact everything is fine except for the spell stuff.

See this post, it may or may NOT help. But I had some wierd problems using the exact same db's and emu, just sourced different, but when I sourced them as is in that post, I seem to have corrected all but the stuff you were talking about (some minor zone issues and what-not).
