It was one of the only things a caster can put in their secondary in the old world, and now that its 6/28 it wont go into the secondary. is there a way to disable to damage on it so we (wizards) can wear it in our secondary? thx.

Yes you can edit the properties of the item using item editor (you can find a link to it in 3rd party tools I think), or you could just force your wizy to put it in the right slot (if you are server op)... Just do a #help and you will see the command you need for that.
