Just a tip :)
Don't patch ... EQEMu doesn't work with the GoD stuff right now.. so ya its better to not patch
I heard the patch also fixed the broken server thing. Where people try to log onto the server and the client crashes it also fixes that but i think it still breaks the EQEMU
It fixes the EQEmu login bug/client crash, but breaks EQEmu? Well that's just dandy :D
I'm guessing it's going to be a bit of work as it's a whole new expansion, not just a major patch. Good luck :) Monrezz |
Krap, lol, is tehre a way to unpatch? i kinda saw this note a lil too late.
I did a system restore to yesterday and it fixed it :)

oh crap, the only reason i patched was to get a few files i deleted because i was having problems with my vid card and now it dun work??? any ways i can fix this? like maybe delete the files that i downloaded to patch and someone send me the old ones? in a package or zip?
The everquest files I had were to old (remember the eqemu patcher), so I patched yesterday. Well, apperently now my files are to new. Any way I can get the file set that will work or do I just have to wait?
Afraid you'll have to wait.... can't ask for the old files, that's asking for warez and is a bannable offence... The ETA for the fix is when it gets done, so don't bother asking. After it gets fixed, it helps to make more than one folder too. I actually have 3, one that I play all the servers but WR, one for WR and one that I can patch and check incase the patch breaks it. Well, hopefully you won't be waiting too long... Sorry :(
OK, no biggie... Just makes me have to wait...
I have 2 directories, a backup directory and the EQEmu directory.
To play on the WR one I created a directory in the EQ directory called WRFiles. I then created a .bat that will copy all files from WRFiles to the EQ directory, and then run the game. This saves you around 2Gb, and is much quicker to use. Just have a directory for Original Files and WRFiles, that way you can restore them for playing on a normal server. I'll paste the contents of the .bats when I get home if you want. Monrezz |

The reason it wont work for hittman is because his eq was too old to start with, if he restores back to earlier, he STILL cant play, because it is not compatible with the newer servers and db's. The reason that Ndrangheta wont be able to play is because he deleted some files that caused it NOT to work. Doing a system restore on this would NOT bring back the deleted files unless they are still in his recycle bin. System restore ONLY restores an earlier version of the system registry but NOT the files that used to be on the computer. So if the files are gone, they are gone for good. As far as Loosnut, I assume you werent talking to him becuase someone suggested that system restore worked for them right after he posted. I assume you meant to put the patchme line in BEFORE you actually try and run eqgame.exe, because running this without having patchme in there will give you a "Please run Everquest.exe" error. |
:\
