Loss of connectivity error I get all the time. Im 99% sure that it is my ISP. I have no problems logging in at my brothers house where he has DSL.

At my apartment I have a broadband connection, but its a free service given out by the owner. I share this connection with several people. I know that they have gotten real anal about what acceptable use of the internet is in our building. So maybe they blocked out ports or something. I haven't a clue.

Eqlive I don't have problems connecting to on a friends account, but thats about the only thing I don't have problems with.

I played Diablo 2, and I had troubles connecting to b.net, I have troubles with the emulator server (Winter's Roar in particular, and yes i have all the WR files, etc.)

When I played SWG, I don't recall ever having problems connecting... although I had huge lag problems there.

So I guess its probably my ISP, but if anyone has any suggestions besides "get DSL or cable", then leave some input. It would be most appreciated.

Did you update your EQ client as of the GoD expansion being released (recently)?

Are you able to get on sometimes but not others? Or are you getting this error every time.. 1017 usually has two causes, version error, and NAT issue (also firewall). If you are patched up to date, then it probably IS your ISP with firewall....

I have not patched since the release of GoD, I read the news before I patched to EQlive. So of course I didn't touch it.

Im guessing its most likely my ISP, but I was just curious if anyone had any suggestions. I don't have a firewall up to my knowledge.

I'm also getting 1017 error, and I get it everytime I even try to login to a server, I have all my EqEMu files backed up since before the new spell effects came on live, but I dont know what eqemu has become compatable with yet, all I know is that GoD broke emu so not to patch, could it be that my backup files for emu are too old? if thats the case, then theres nothing I can do until emu becomes compatable with the new GoD crap

Or you could play on Shawn319' server It is GOD compatible.
